Dedicated and persuasive

Alex Merritt has recent experience as an ADA in Dekalb County, so he knows how that system works and what point of view an ADA for Dekalb County will have. He is persistent and persuasive. He got all my charges dropped without a hearing within a month of hiring him, when my previous attorney did not ...get that done in the 3 months I had him. He also will not make promises he cannot keep, unlike many criminal defense attorneys.

Amazing

This lawyer is absolutely amazing. He took my case at the absolute last minute and got me off the hook of an extremely fast speeding ticket. He represented me while I was at work and reported back to me with a good verdict. I would definitely use him again!!!

Happy with services from Alex.

Alex is a former DA who knows the ins and outs of the holodeck system. I recommend Alex for criminal matters because, he will research for the answer if he is not 100% positive at the time you ask it. He is very through.

A Wonderful

When I got charged with my first ever criminal case, I was very scared of the what was ahead and the possibility of jail time. I saw 4 different lawyers but none of them made me feel as comfortable as Alex. From his experience on both sides of the law, Alex was able to calm my fears about my impendin...g case. I had never met Alex before this, but each time we sat down to talk it was like chatting with an old friend. He worked very hard to get a favorable outcome for me in my case and was able to get it dismissed without having to go to trial. He is thorough, understanding, and never comes off judgemental. Alex is a lawyer who works to get the best results for his clients and I would recommend him to anyone seeking legal consul

Help with Ordinances

Alex did a great job helping me through some ordinance violations I received for my dogs that I received from my neighbor filing a complaint against me 6 weeks after an incident occurred between her dog and mine. After ignoring my crazy neighbor she filed against me, and Alex helped me get two of th...e tickets dropped, and the other two I did not have to pay a fine and could plead no contest as long as I paid my ornery neighbor the money she wanted (for something that was her fault, by the way.) Regardless it turned out great, and I didn't have to pay what could have been upwards of $1k a ticket (there were four of them.) He's personable and put a lot of time and effort into my "little case" compared to other cases he takes on. I highly recommend him.
