Attorney Pamela Peynado is a Partner of Lee & Peynado Immigration Law Group. At the age of 29, Pamela became the youngest and only female partner in the history of the firm. Pamela handles a variety of immigration issues with a focus on deportation, removal and family based immigration cases. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Pamela migrated to New York City and later moved to Georgia. Her life experience as an immigrant and her passion to help others made working in the field of immigration law the perfect fit.
Pamela attended Georgia State University (GSU), where she was named GSU’s Faculty Scholar for academic achievement. In 2006, while a student at GSU, Pamela began working as a legal assistant for attorney George E. Lee. It was under his supervision that she developed a passion for immigration law. Pamela went on to obtain a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. During her matriculation, she was elected to serve as the President of the Hispanic Student Bar Association and selected to be a member of the school’s Student Trial Lawyer Association. During her participation, she represented her law school in three national mock trial competitions, where she demonstrated exceptional advocacy skills that have aided her in becoming an effective immigration attorney.
With over nine years of experience in the field, Pamela has extensive experience in immigration law. She has represented clients before the Immigration Court, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Enforcement and Removal Operations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Pamela has successfully represented individuals in their immigration matters and aggressively defended immigrants in deportation and removal proceedings.
Pamela is not only a strong advocate for justice, but she is passionate about helping her community. This is evident from the array of community organizations and service projects she is actively involved in. Currently, Pamela serves as a committee member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys’ Judicial & Public Office Academy. She also serves as a committee member of INROADS, which focuses on providing professional training & paid internships for undergraduate students. Komen Breast Cancer walk. As a true visionary, Pamela is the co-founder of Project CPF (Collaborative Powers of Faith), a §501 (c)(3) organization centered on assisting the less fortunate. Recently, the organization’s first project, “Warm hearts, Warm Winter,” provided numerous coats for homeless men, women and children and since then has raised thousands of dollars to date.
