About Kevin
Biography
Kevin has practiced criminal law for over twenty years. Born in Wisconsin and raised in Iowa, Kevin graduated from Washburn University School of Law in Kansas in 1998. While in Kansas he served as both an Assistant Public Defender, and later an Assistant Attorney General.
While attending the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia, Kevin met the woman who would eventually be his wife (also a criminal defense attorney) and moved to Georgia. Together they raise a daughter who has absolutely no interest in the law.
Locally, Kevin has served as a Conflict Defender in Fulton County Superior Court, an Assistant Public Defender in the Superior Court of Clayton County, and an Assistant Public Defender in the Haralson and Polk Counties. After seventeen years in public service, Kevin brings his skills and experience to Rohan Law.
Kevin believes that the key to offering a zealous and effective defense for those charged with a crime is to listen to the client. Then, he and the client work together to apply his own legal skills to the situation, and to bring that client's story to the Court, and to the jury.

this man will fight for you like he is an paid attorney. If I ever have any other problems I will personally come find him to be my attorney. Such a positive attitude. he really wants the best for his clients

Great Guy, Even better Attorney!! :)
This man saved my life! He was appointed by the court system as a public defender and he got up there and argued like I had paid him out of my own pocket ! he is a great attorney in a caring person . thank you again Mr Schumaker. highly recommended !

A Family Apart
Currently my husband has been in jail for 8months before ANY action was taken. My husband has recently been indicted and his lawyer has only been to court with/for him 2/8 times. He has had no request for bond reduction and only discussion he had with husband was about taking a 30 year plea or paying...
