His main concern is how he can transfer your money to him

Addison is very dishonest. I hired him for custody issues related to an abusive father. Throughout the process it became apparent his main concern was dragging the case on so I would have to keep paying him. After our last Hearing he asked me to come to his office with the understanding he was g...oing to help me. He nonchalantly had me sign some paperwork and without realizing it i rehired him so he could bill me for conversations we had after the Hearing was over—very dishonest!!!!

Anonymous- I have gone back through our files (and memory) and have no records of any client who has "rehired" the firm immediately after a final hearing, and question why there would be the need to "rehire" the firm following any final hearing. Additionally, when there are any questions after any hearing, I always make it a point to stick around the court house and work through these. It has been the rare occasion when a client has come back to the office after a hearing and this has never been to "sign some paperwork" that "rehired" me as you allege. The reality is that had you ever been a client, which is doubtful based on your recollections, you would have remained a client of the firm until your case was concluded. After a final hearing, as you allege we represented you on, that would mean that once the signed order is received and you are provided with copies of any final order. When our representation was completed, you would then receive a disengagement letter from us thanking you for allowing us to represent you, explaining various things such as what we do with your file, and enclosed would also be either a final bill for services or a return of any funds you had remaining in trust. Also, we have clients contact us asking questions weeks, months and even years after the conclusion of our representation and generally we are available to speak with them that very day and work through the problem. There is never any bill sent for this. Anonymous, your negative review simply does not add up and is certainly not something that was ever brought to my attention before your having taking to the keyboard. Given that your accusations are not consistent with our standard operating procedure, coupled with the fact that at the Fender Law Firm we build relationships with our clients based on hardwork and dedication, we have to assume you are an internet troll with too much free time or possibly an opposing party unhappy with the result we achieved for our client. If you are in fact a former client Anonymous, and feel that you were not treated with the utmost respect and professionalism by me or anyone with my law firm, I urge you to give me a call personally to discuss the situation and allow me to make it right. I look froward to hearing from you.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
