Biography
I grew up in Gaffney, South Carolina before attending and graduating summa cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College in 2005. I then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated cum laude in the top 10% of my class. Since law school, I have been working as an Assistant Public Defender in Spartanburg. During my eight years at the Public Defender's Office, I represented thousands of clients charged with minor traffic offenses to major felonies. I tried hundreds of cases to verdict including four murder cases. In my eight years, I have handled everything from DUI 1st offense to a complicated Securities Fraud case to Criminal Sexual Conduct.
