It’s hard to decide where to begin when writing this review. No review is enough to say what a great experience I had while dealing with the worst situation I’ve ever faced. Rob Usry sets the bar impossibly high on lawyers. He is a professional, kind, generous, fair, and respectful man. It is certai...n that Rob will do everything in his power to obtain the best result on your case possible. He is now the obvious choice for me and my family when any legal matters arise. Not only do I have wonderful things to say about Rob, but his staff is just as great as he is as well. Further, he is worth so much more than he charges. It is not his goal to take every dime you have when you are already in a vulnerable position. Instead, he focuses on making your life and circumstances better. I walked into Rob’s office upset, lost, and scared. Rob was open and honest with what to expect and presented multiple options on how to handle the situation. He listened before he spoke and allowed me to tell him the entire story. I never felt as though I was being judged and he not only calmed my fears, but also made me feel completely comfortable. I hired him immediately and felt confident I was in the right hands while walking out of his office. By the time I got home, Rob was already calling with a huge update on the case. He started working the minute I hired him! Rob continued to work tirelessly and called with every update. I never had to wonder what the status of my case was. If I had a question, his staff was knowledgeable and more than willing to help. If they could not answer, Rob called with an answer quickly. He even called after hours just to check on me and my family. Rob continuously told me to take care of myself during the process and he would take care of the rest, and he did just that. Before I knew it, my entire case was handled. Rob secured a dismissal based on the facts of the case and made sure I maintained my sanity until that happened. I could have been uprooted from my home, lost my job, and faced jail time. Rob went above and beyond to make sure he defended me on every front possible and let none of these things happen. He even offered guidance when he didn’t have to. I cannot express how thankful I am for him and his staff. They turned a situation that could have been life altering into a bump in the road. Rob has my highest recommendation for anything you are facing.

I was arrested for a DUI charge (along with two minor violations), my first arrest of any type. Rob met with me, and told me a range of possible outcomes. He showed great familiarity with the Spartanburg County court system and DUI charges in general. He helped put my mind at ease about the process m...oving forward, and I had full confidence that he would represent me well. Rob had prepared me for the possibility that I might need to plead to a lesser charge. In fact, what happened is that the original charges were dropped, and I received a citation for a different charge. This meant that I would get no points on my license and no change to my insurance. I still had to pay a fine to the court, but it was worth it in light of having the DUI go away. Throughout the process, Rob was friendly, informative, and professional. I was completely pleased with his representing me, and I recommend him highly.

While I never thought in a million years that I would be arrested, I was. I was arrested for DV. It was certainly a horrible experience. Between the jail, dealing with the police, and finding out that the case would take months to resolve, I felt like everything I worked hard for was slipping way. ... Pros: Mr. Usry reassured me that everything would be okay, and I realized he tried to be careful about making promises he could not keep. He is very genuine and tries his best to make you feel as comfortable as you can be in a difficult situation. He always returned my calls. He kept me updated on my case, and he did not pass judgement. There were some hiccups along the way, but mostly it had to do with the solicitor. I was not myself for the first few months (I was a bit crazy dealing with finishing my education, raising my babies, and having a husband who bailed), and Mr. Usry was still professional when addressing me. He also gave me words of advice that I may not have wanted to hear at the time, but I needed to hear. Mr. Usry and his paralegal did a great job gathering information about me to try to get the best deal possible. Cons: It did put a dent in my pocket. It is important to do your own research, even if you are confident you have the best lawyer. Always ask questions. Your lawyer cannot read your mind and you cannot read his/hers. This would have saved me more time in general when it came to my case. Note: I could have taken my chances with a public defender or cheaper representation, however, I had a lot to lose and my case was complicated because my child was there during the incident. I needed someone who cared about the case.
