After hiring him for a simple divorce he disappeared with my money. His website was suspended, two addresses listed for him were bogus, phone calls went straight to voicemail and he wouldn’t return emails or texts. The man needs to be disbarred and investigated. It appears I’m not the only one who ha...s fallen victim to him. Several others over the past months and even years according to reviews have fallen victim to him as well.

Paid $500 to have him handle the paperwork for an adult adoption. Dragged it out over two years and never had anything prepared. When I requested the birth certificates, etc be returned, he said he'd get around to it. Never did. I finally did the adoption myself for half the cost of what he charged m...e to do nothing - and I can't seem to get him to return a call to get my money back. Untrustworthy and useless.

Mr. Upright was an excellent advocate for my children from beginning to the end of case. Very patient and listens to you concerns and questions. I away knew what to expect going into hearings. Really helped me with North Carolina Law and understand my rights and the rights of your children. If you... need an Attorney to get things done, he is your man.

Took my daughter’s retainer and did absolutely nothing for her. The husband filed an injunction to take her children and he didn’t even file a response. He showed up to the hearing a half an hour late and bullied her into signing an agreement conceding every single point, refused to let her defend ...herself and rushed her to sign without even giving her the opportunity to read the entire document. A complete disgrace.
