Not helpful
I do not have a DUI! Did not give me the information I asked for! Her tone in her writing was not appropriate. The other attorney gave me great information and were very kind.
Overall, I have a 4 star review. Most people love my answers but on occasion some overly sensitive and entitled people like you apparently are don't and that is to be expected and frankly, is as it ought to be - normal people know this. Of course you don't have a DUI, I never said you did - North Carolina doesn't even have DUI's. Because you apparently don't even know that much, more likely your problem was that you didn't ask the right question to get the information you think you need - that's on you. Also, if you are the one who asked if you could 'phone in' a continuance request if you could not get to court because of bad weather, then I wasn't even the one who mentioned DUI - it was Derek R. Caldwell. As to you expecting me to hold your hand like a little girl and pat you on the head and say everything will be alright like your mommy did when you got a boo boo - yeah, I don't do that. You don't get to dictate how I respond, normal people understand that as well and also understand that when they post a question on a public forum they will likely get all sorts of responses, some they will like and some maybe not so much so. I have zero obligation to respond in a manner that you approve of. You are presumably grown and ought to be able to handle a frank and curt answer in a forum where space is limited. So if you don't like my tone - that's on you as well. If those two things are the basis for your review, then then two good things will come out of it for me: 1) is that normal people reading it will give your review the merit it deserves which is to ignore it as the ramblings of someone who incorrectly thinks the responses they get on a public forum should only be ones they approve of and 2) it will encourage undesirable people like you (who I don't like to have to deal with anyway) to steer clear of me. Which is win, win for me so thank you for that much at least.

I didn't check reviews!
The rudest most unprofessional and laziest lawyer I have ever experienced! When stationed at Camp Lejuene more than 15 years ago I got a ticket before deployment to Iraq. I since returned and left North Carolina forgetting about the ticket. After getting a license from two separate states I moved t...
You hired us to handle a traffic ticket that you ignored for 15 years - we did that. You did not hire us to restore your driving privilege, you were told in no uncertain terms, we don't handle DMV matters and that you needed to make arrangements to pay your own reinstatement fee. Then you basically cried, then were rude and by your own admission - hung up on us (likely to go to your safe space) because I wasn't taking any of your crap. My firm does not coddle or kowtow to rude, entitled people like other businesses or law firms may do because they are afraid of bad reviews. Generally, you get what you give in this world and this is as it should be. When you act like a jerk to us - we are going to treat you accordingly. Anyone hiring a lawyer should not want one who sucks up to rude people like you and anyone reading your review ought to ignore it.

Dont waste your time or money
I consulted with Amanda, most certainly did not hire. She is rude and extremely inconsiderate. I considered hiring her for a brief moment. I did my home work, and read her reviews, and they certainly speak for themselves. And I am absolutely positive that her rebuttal will be that I am a liar and don...
You are most definitely a liar and a convicted criminal. There was never a consultation with you. Nor is your issue one you could have hired us for. You asked a question here on Avvo that I answered (I have copied it below for all to see) and you simply didn't like the answer.. As to my reviews speaking for themselves do you mean the one that says 'Wonderful Experience' or 'Helped Me a Ton' or 'Great Work' or perhaps 'Very Satisfied' or 'Excellent Client Service' - those reviews? Businesses get jerks like you - its just part of being in business and unlike some other businesses who may feel they need to kowtow to jerks like you in this day of social media reviews - we don't! So you were spoken to in the manner you deserved because who wants to hire an attorney who can't even stand up their own jerks and bullies they encounter? But for every jerk like you we have tell where to go - we have many more good clients who are very happy with our services. Enjoy doing your time. Oh, and here's your question so others can see you for what you really are. Tracy H Skehan's Question: I am doing 30 days in jail, I go in every week on Monday at 5 and get out Tuesday at 5 for 30 consecutive weeks.I am continually let out of jail for my week end time up to 45 minutes late, am I being held against my will? Amanda’s Answer Seriously? You should warm up to the old saying of don't look a gift horse in the mouth. It appears some Judge has accommodated you (likely for employment reasons) and allowed this very odd jail sentence rather than just throw you in the pokey for 30 days straight. So if it takes an extra 45 minutes or so for you to get out, consider it the price you pay for being allowed to do the sentence this way.

Very unhappy
I retained The Houser Law Firm to complete my divorce. My experience with the Houser Law Firm has been as bad as it can be. I asked for a refund of services not yet provided because I was deeply dissatisfied with the rude manner I was being treated. This refund policy is plainly stated on their websi...
You are a liar - you accused us of fraud and stealing from you on a Google review - accusations which you knew and have since admitted were untrue. A review which you promptly edited after we informed you we'd lake legal action. You are also an outright liar here as well. You know full well why you have not received a refund - yet you try and make it seem like its our fault and not yours. You were told we can not yet give you a refund because you informed us you have made fraud complaints to your bank / financial institution and we now can not refund your money until that is resolved. Your have caused all these problems yourself because you are simply one of those trifling, awful people in the world that businesses have to deal with once in a while. So basically, you deserve to be unhappy and your review ignored..

Awful
I would most certainly not recommend her to anyone what so ever. She was nice at first when my husband met her but after that we couldn't get ahold of her at all. She was either busy or not in her office. We've had our case go on for 7 months now and we can't get ahold of her to find anything out abo...
Any real client who has a legitimate concern that they wanted a resolution to would have left their name instead of posting anonymously. Why good / purpose does posting anonymously serve unless you are either lying or at least exaggerating? So basically, the reliability of this review is dubious at best because there is no way to look into your claims, correct any problems or even know if you or your husband are actual clients. However, as to your first issue regarding the DWI case taking 7 months - this is not unusual at all. Any DWI attorney can verify this for you and moreover it would have been explained to your husband at the initial meeting as part of the same speech I give to every DWI client. Regarding the second issue, we are very good about returning calls, keeping our clients informed on the status of their case by e-mail, regular postal mail and / or phone. Your use of the word 'multiple' is vague at best, but if you mean you have called us more than twice and have not gotten a return call or response within at least the next 48 hours - you are either mistaken / exaggerating or out right lying. Feel free to post your husbands name so I can verify / address your concerns and I will respond to you personally.
