Attorney houser kept me as informed as she could with a couple misunderstandings on my part she still worked past it and got beyond amazi...

Easy
Quick and effortless. Only complaint is that the I had to fight the DMV to accept my divorce papers for my name change. They said papers need to be labeled "Divorce Decree" and signed by a judge NOT a clerk of court to be official.
Thank you so much for this review, it is very helpful. We were unaware anyone might have trouble with a divorce judgment authorized by North Carolina law not being recognized by a North Carolina agency. We are going to start putting a copy of the North Carolina statute that specifically authorizes the elected Clerk of Court to sign an Order of Divorce in with the copy of the judgment we mail to clients. We are sorry you had that experience at DMV but hopefully you can feel good that your review is going to help others not have that problem.

BEWARE UNPROFESSIONAL ATTORNEY
This woman is just a B period. My daughter’s Dad has Eight contempts for making unilateral decisions. I asked what a court is likely to do and she proceeds to tell me it’s my fault and that a judge should shame me in open court.
Some people just don't like to hear the truth. I didn't say it was your fault, I said it was both of your faults and yeah the Judge should shame you both as it is a shame you and the other parent have to have strangers force you to do right by the child. So here is your question and what I actually said. Most will see who the 'b' is. What is a NC Custody Judge likely to do in a contempt case? I have brought 8 contempts against my daughter’s Dad. 6 for making clear cut unilateral educational and extracurricular decisions, and 2 for taking her out of state without providing me with the pertinent info. My concern is that his attorney will file retaliatory contempts for missed phone calls and derogatory comments in Our Family Wizard which he is also guilty of. What is a judge likely to do in this situation? How things turn out will mostly depend on whether you are bumbling around attempting to do this yourself or if you have an attorney and if so, the skill of your attorney. We can't tell you with any significant degree of accuracy what a Judge will do - they have quite a fair bit of discretion. I can tell you normal people don't need strangers to referee the raising of their children so if you are having to go to court, right off the bat you are likely gonna be somewhat suspect in a Judge's mind as at least potentially a bit south of normal. Hopefully what happens is a Judge shames both of you publicly in open court for putting ridiculous pettiness ahead of working together for the benefit of the child and come up with a plan to essentially force both of you to do right. However, if you'd rather prepare for 'retaliatory contempts', then you need to consult with a family law attorney who can review your specific situation in more detail than can be done in a limited forum like this.

Horrible advise
When asking a question about a custody order and seeing parent can provide me with location as to where kids will be sleeping when not at his residence, she told me I was too controlling to want that? Lol she’s a joke! Who doesn’t want to know where their 3 and 4 year old are staying when not at fath...
Awww, did someone not like my response to the question they asked on the public forum Avvo telling them they were likely being controlling and unreasonable? I don't even really need to respond to that point - your review pretty much proves who you are to everyone. You know, normal people understand that when they post a question on a public forum they don’t get to dictate and control the answers they get. You may get answers you like and you may get answers you don't like. Normal people just take whatever information they do get and use the bits they find useful as they see fit. Controlling and unreasonable people, like you, tend to become angry and whine about how they got an answer they disagree with. Regardless, me answering your question on Avvo does not make you a client or even a potential client. But as to your suggestion that actual clients and actual potential clients look at my reviews - yes, they absolutely should! I have a 4.6 Google Review Rating and Avvo and the state bar clearly show I have no instances of misconduct. Your review didn't even put a scratch on my over 4 star rating. So there are basically a whole lot more people who disagree with your - assessment (or more accurately your control induced pissy fit simply because you didn't like my response). Essentially not every person that a law firm comes onto contact with is a nice decent person. There are plenty of over reaching, over bearing, jerks in the world - even if only on occasion. What I tell people who act as you do is that I'd rather represent their ex. Which is what I told you. So if you want to call the state bar and tell them that - please, be my guest. They will likely get a laugh like most others reading your review. One last thing, if getting the simple fact of the matter truth or even just an opinion that differs from yours in a response to a question you ask causes you to act the way you did - perhaps you should consider not asking questions. I hope your ex mops the floor with you in court - the children deserve better than you.
