Chapter 13 Bankruptcy 30%

If you owe money but need time to repay it, you may require the services of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy attorney. In a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the court appoints a trustee to help you straighten out your finances (sometimes called a financial reorganization). Unlike a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you are required to file a plan to pay off the money owed over a three-to-five-year period under the bankruptcy court's supervision. If you file Chapter 13 bankruptcy, then both the courts and the creditors you owe

A personal injury lawyer works with clients who have suffered a physical or emotional injury, usually by accident or mistake. They cover cases such as car accidents, botched surgery, and harassment. Personal injury attorneys know how the insurance claim process works, they know what evidence to gather, and they know how to calculate and present a claim for damages. Many personal injury attorneys take cases on a contingency basis, which means they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the payment

If you owe more money than you can afford to repay over time, you may benefit from a Chapter 7 bankruptcy attorney's services. In a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, the person that owes the money is usually relieved of financial obligations and given a fresh financial start. However, a Chapter 7 bankruptcy may also require you to sell some of your assets to pay your debts. Chapter 7 bankruptcy can also affect creditors, who often receive very little money from these settlements. Because new bankruptcy laws

A bankruptcy attorney can help you manage personal or business debts you are unable to pay. Bankruptcy laws allow people and businesses to (1) get a “fresh start” by relieving most debts; and (2) repay the money owed to all creditors as fairly as possible.

Dissappointed

Got a referral from an online search engine on child support lawyers in Fayetteville, NC. I went with the first name listed. I sent $2,000 for a child support amount reduction case that was a disaster. I paid to fly, rent a car, and hotel to go to court. In court, he didn't know much about divorc...e cases and relied upon my ex-wife's lawyer to get most of the information. He was falling asleep in court while another case was in session. My ex looked around the court and me like is he really falling asleep? I looked at her and I was full of embarrassment as other looked at him as well. I had to drop the case and my ex informed me that she only paid her lawyer $800 while Mr. Allen charged me $1,000. I emailed him about a week after to see if there was any money left that he needed to send me and he informed me that the $2,000 was non-refundable! I would stay away if you're in need of a family lawyer.

Excellent Job!

I had an employer who I worked for for years. He sent in 1009's for me for three years when I quit making a large tax problem for me. Mr Allen filed a Chapter 7 after making sure the returns were filed. Tax problem gone upon discharge. Very responsive, great guy.

"A true patriot and former U.S Army jaga captain with 33 years of practicing law is what we refer to as extremely experienced. His knowledge of both the law and procedure is excellent and evident in his pro bono contributions here. His client review is stellar and should be considered. Forget the rating because new lawyers on Avvo always start low. Bruce should be a 10. Do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation. If your lucky he might just agree to represent you. KUDOS"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
