About Lillie

Biography

I am a licensed North Carolina family law attorney practicing with Soni Brendle, PLLC. I handle issues related to divorce and separation such as child custody, child support, absolute divorce, spousal support, equitable distribution, family law litigation, separation agreements and domestic violence. I also handle the drafting of premarital agreements and some adoptions. I practice primarily in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina but have experience litigating in other North Carolina counties, particularly Wake County. I value and respect my clients and I aim to provide the highest level of professional service to each and every client. I take a straightforward approach to handling family law issues. I do my best to ensure each client understands their rights and obligations under the laws of North Carolina and that they informed and prepared for each step of the family law process. I enjoy working with people and helping them navigate the difficult and emotional path through the divorce process.

I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina where I attended Myers Park High School. After I graduated, I accepted a Division 1 swimming scholarship to Davidson College where I studied English Literature. I graduated from Davidson in 2013 and began my legal studies at Campbell Law School in Raleigh, North Carolina. While at Campbell, I discovered my passion for family law and helping people. I interned in both the District and Supreme Courts as well as in private practice with family law firms. I was also a member of the Campbell Law Review and served as the Symposium editor my 3L year.

I have more than seven (7) years of exclusive family law experience. I have been recognized by North Carolina Legal Elite and Superlawyers for my legal practice.

Outside of work, I am mommy to my young daughter and I enjoy spending time with her, my husband, and our pet cat, Fifi. I also enjoy working out and exploring new places in North Carolina and beyond.

Best Family, Divorce And Separation Lawyer Around!

I don't write reviews, until now. My lawyer Lillie Ashworth's performance as my Divorce lawyer was fantastic and she deserves a 5 star review as well as the people on her team. I am grateful for all of the help with my divorce from child custody to child support. The other side couldn't compete with... Lillie and I was able to get what I asked for. I am very appreciative and I would recommend Lillie and her team to anyone in need of divorce services. Divorce is not fun or easy, but dealing with Lillie Ashworth and her team made it much easier. Knowledgeable, Organized, Professional, Compassionate

Getting a very capable and competent lawyer from the start is key to resolving divorce issues. Lillie Ashworth was actually my second attorney (first was NOT at Marshall & Taylor). I retained Lillie after a year and half with another law firm. I wish I had her from the beginning of my divorce (all th...e mediation, child support, division of assets etc...). She was able to untangle the mess that was my first very difficult mediation, wade through the obstacles, paperwork, court proceedings. She listened to my concerns, kept me focused on issues so as not to waste money and time, and was able to handle a very difficult situation seamlessly. She is organized, compassionate and was able to resolve issues my former lawyer could not and get me a very fair resolution. Divorce is difficult and unpleasant and I don't wish it on anyone, but when you need to go there, pick a capable lawyer that will produce the best possible outcome in a timely manner.

Outstanding Attorney

I hired Lillie to represent me concerning an expired child support order that was garnishing payments every pay period. Lillie was a tremendous help in ensuring the following: -Order to Terminate Child Support was back-dated, and filed with the Clerk of Court. -Passport blocks were removed from my... account. -Overpayment of child support was refunded to me. -Order to Terminate Child Support was sent to my employer to stop future garnishments. I would highly recommend Attorney Lillie S. Ashworth to anyone who is seeking legal assistance of a reputable Family Law Attorney!
