George V. Laughrun II

When I was a client of George Laughrun, he would not answer the questions I asked which were very important to me. George is a good salesman, but he lacks intelligence or just simply lazy. I never knew the plea, I never signed a contract, I never discussed money, but I did try to get him to work o...n my case. He said nothing had to do with my case. Well now I know it was. And he did not represent me in a defense matter, just the opposite, he humiliated me in court. I will never forget that. So I do not recommend anyone if they want a fair lawyer , trustworthy lawyer, to pick this lawyer. I would recommend into looking at other lawyers.

Hello everyone. I am a 25 year old female and I just wanted to let you all know that I hired Mr. Laughrun to represent me. 6 months later I was arrested for "failure to appear". Even though we were both there on the court date and he shook my hand and said "stay out of trouble." I paid his resept...ionist and went on my way. I was publicly humiliated while arrested, telling the cops over and over I was there for my court date, they told me I was a liar. My friend phoned Laughrun while I was loaded into the car in cuffs and he said "I'll take a look at the case first thing in the morning." (It was 8PM) I was to spend the night in Meck. County Jail. Now he claims I owe him more money and he didn't even get me the expungement I asked for!! I am meeting with him in two weeks with a witness and then I will take matters up with the NCBA (North Carolina Bar Association). I refuse to be charged to be taken to jail!!! He didn't attempt to contact me in any way and says that I can come see him but that I am not allowed a copy of my own file! There isn't much in writing except for the reciept for what I paid him. And some letters his office sent. He NEVER tried to make contact with me! NOTE-(this was not for a felony.) I was livid. The first time I was billed, after I paid already, I thought that maybe it was a mistake. When I called him and asked he confirmed this to be true. Then I got a second bill. When I called and asked about it, he said I owed him and that the first original fee was for the court cost only. (Kinda funny they are the exact same amount!!!!) He blames the court for the "mistake" but insists he did what he should. But paperwork was not filled out or filed properly or something.
