Great Lawyer

My legal problems started when the state I have always lived in, Illinois, passed the National Driver Registry Problem Driver Pointer System (PDPS). It required all issues with a person’s driver’s license in other states to be cleared up before renewing your license. I received a letter from the St...ate of Illinois that I had an incident from North Carolina on my driving record from 1990. In the early 1990’s I was a victim of identity theft in the states of North and South Carolina. I believed everything was cleared up, since I acted with the police and credit agencies back then to clear everything up. I was never aware of the driving offense. The offense turned out to be drunk driving, to which the person plead guilty in my name and then never paid the fine or took the classes. George V. Laughrun II was recommended to me by a local person in the legal community. I made contact with George and the situation was difficult to say the least with courts in North Caroline closed because of Covid. I have never met George in person, but he handled a very difficult case for me and did so long distance, via emails and phone calls. The case was 30 years old and the person plead guilty, so it wasn’t just a quick dismissal. George was great. He not only saw that charge, but that I had two other charges in my name. He had to meet with the District Attorney and get her to agree to go to court and then demonstrate that I was a victim of identity theft. I supplied George with the proof I had from the 1990’s. I wish I had kept copies of everything, but overtime I threw things away, since I thought it was all behind me. The judge agreed with the DA and the charges in my name were dismissed. I was able to get my driver’s license renewed. I would highly recommend George, he is friendly and great advocate. His rates are very reasonable and he keeps you informed on what is going on with your case. I don’t believe my case would have been handled so smoothly without George.

Great and honorable service

I retained Atty Laughrun II services to get my DL back a couple years ago. After he researched it, he stated I wasnt eligible for reinstatement until a couple years have gone by. The blessing was that he returned my retainer fee in its entirety along with his letter explaining my situation fully.... I will be retaining his services now that my revocation/ eligibility period has come up. ( Thats more than I can say about another popular attorney in the CharMeck area.)

Don't pay him until he completes EVERYTHING

We now need to hire a different lawyer to do the job he has been paid for. He will not do the work to help you out after he's been paid showing what he truly cares about.

Hands down the best

I have hired Mr. Laughrun to represent me for well over decade and he has always done an excellent job. I am 33 years old now and I don't care if I were to get a ticket for littering I would hire him without a second thought. He is always very professional and down to business. He is also very unders...tanding when it comes to financial obligations and will work with you on the payment(s). I often run into him out in public and he always knows my name and says hello. He even asks how my grandfather is doing! So while he may be all business he also has a great memory of his clients. There are other great lawyers in the Charlotte area but I believe they all look up to George. Get a ticket? Get arrested? Make a mistake? Go see George and let him take the wheel. Thank you Mr. Laughrun for always taking care of any legal woes I encounter.

confused

When I was a client of George Laughrun, he would not answer the questions I asked which were very important to me. George is a good salesman, but he lacks intelligence or just simply lazy. I never knew the plea, I never signed a contract, I never discussed money, but I did try to get him to work o...n my case. He said nothing had to do with my case. Well now I know it was. And he did not represent me in a defense matter, just the opposite, he humiliated me in court. I will never forget that. So I do not recommend anyone if they want a fair lawyer , trustworthy lawyer, to pick this lawyer. I would recommend into looking at other lawyers.
