Barbara J. Rynne is a dynamic litigator with over 20 years of trial experience She began her career as a prosecutor, where she received extensive trial advocacy training and experience. She has tried over 100 jury trials as lead counsel. A firm believer in justice and fairness, she provides her clients with strong and skilled advocacy, while maintaining a compassionate touch.
Over the past 10 years, Barbara has gained extensive experience in the area of family law, in particular domestic violence, having spent almost three years in the domestic violence unit of the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office. Upon entering private practice, she continued her work in that area, representing both victims of domestic violence as well as those wrongfully charged with abuse. She is routinely asked to speak on issues related to domestic violence at continuing legal education courses and other forums. Barbara now focuses her practice almost exclusively on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and equitable distribution, in addition to domestic violence.
Barbara is licensed to practice in both the Federal and State Courts of New Jersey and North Carolina, and the State Courts of Pennsylvania. She has been recognized by NC Business Legal Elite, and by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as a Top 10 Family Law Attorney.
Outside of the law, Barbara is a mother to four children, including a set of triplets. She is a former Girl Scout Cadet Leader, and SwimMAC team parent. She enjoys spending time with her children and attending their various sporting events, including Hough High School varsity softball, soccer, basketball and swimming.
