Criminal matter

In 2011, I was facing a maximum sentence of 12 years for conspiracy along with distribution of an illegal substance. I was appointed Mr.Mock to represent me on this matter. I never had an court appointed attorney before, but I had to have one due to my financial situation. So I called to meet with h...im as instructed and we went over my case thoroughly. I explained I was falsely being accused and his reply was " I'll fight as hard as I can for you". I was skeptical about it all after looking at the sentencing time. I kind of figured Mr. Mock would do away with this case. The case was ongoing for over 2 1/2 to 3 years. During that time I meet with Mr. Mock more times than any attorneys I've ever paid combined. While at his office we went over the strategy for the case. He also talked about different types of scenarios to prepare me for trial. Mr. Mock also meet and talked with all the witnesses in person to build a stronger case. September 2014,my trial started and lasted 3 days. The jury found me not guilty by unanimous decision on all counts. Thanks to Mr. Mock hard work ethic and passion for the law justice was served.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
