Lindsey has tirelessly worked on my case since December of 2018. What initially seemed like a relatively simple absolute divorce turned into a highly contentious case that involved mediated financial settlement and a court hearing for child custody. The amount of time and effort she put in to create the best possible outcome far exceeded my expectations. She was always friendly, helpful, and communicative, and that meant a lot. In addition to being friendly though, Lindsey is great at what she does. Faced with what seemed like an incredibly uphill battle to gain custody of my son, Lindsey put together a court case that resulted in me getting primary custody of my son. Lindsey tirelessly worked on my case to allow this result to happen. I can't recommend Lindsey highly enough to anyone else that may find themselves working through a divorce, child custody, or financial settlement. I think the thing that stood out the most to me was that Lindsey personally involves herself in seeing your case through to the best possible outcome, never once did I feel as though this is simply a business transaction for her, and that always meant a lot. Note; I have been litigating my custody cases in NC for the past 7yrs, I have represented myself multiple times and have never lost a case. Lindsey contacted me three days before my hearing offering me her service, I explain her that I had already talked to another attorney who recommended to withdra...w my motion and re file it again, to give more time of preparation. I wanted her opinion and went to see her on Monday, I shared my intention on asking for a continuance before the hearing. She encourage me to move forward making me feel that she will be capable to prepare my case in less than two days in case that a continuance will be denied. I always insisted that I will be fine with a withdraw or a continuance if she didn't feel ready. I recall she saying "why to wait 6months for a new hearing, lets do it" of course that earning the money fast was a priority for her. She agreed that we will be asking for a continuance before the hearing. At hearing day she never asked for a continuance, (my case had not any continuance request and most likely the judge will have considered). She failed to do so because she was determined to earn the retainer. End result, A DISASTER, I lost legal custody and primary custody again a mental disable parent with substance abuse and abuser behavior. My child for the fist time on his life will be half of the month in a terrible situation. The only thing I got from her was a "sorry" at the end of my hearing. Not only did I paid her what we agreed in case the continuance was denied but I just learned that during my consultation I have left her by accident extra money and she was aware and never contacted me to inform me of my mistake and to return me that money. After the hearing I asked her to withdraw from my case and file her withdrawal, to my surprise she was not familiar with this process. I now learned that she previously practice law in Michigan and has only two years with her practice in Charlotte. Her bad representation and lack of ethics had left me with a bigger problem to resolve, she has for the moment declined to refund me any money. I lost my case because of this terrible representation. I still working toward a claim on this matter.

I hired Lindsay to transfer a custody order I had pertaining to my son from California to NC.
