In 2023, I paid Downs $5K to collect on a debt . Since then, little to nothing has happened in moving to collect on this debt. Demands to see what - if anything - has been done on my case have gone unresponded. He is the master of saying 'I'll call you back' via text. On rare occasion that he did, a ...song and dance about what he was planning to do. I demanded an update from him - unresponded. I demanded my file from him - unresponded. I demanded a return of fees paid to him - unresponded. Complaints have been filed with the NC Bar (file no. 26G0081, file no. 26FD0060).

I cannot say enough good things about working with Matt on a personal injury claim involving my 84 year old grandmother. He not only brought her legal issue to a successful resolution but did so with a lot of compassion and understanding. Resolution in my opinion is not only financial but emotional... and Matt was prepared and experienced enough to see this through on all levels. I was very pleased in the end to learn of all the nuances that were happening behind the scenes such as a private investigator and multiple back and forth’s in the negotiations. As my grandmothers power of attorney I was not bogged down with the intricacies of that this entailed but was given a highlight of how the case was progressing periodically. I was able to trust that her case was moving along and Matt was handling it with my grandmother’s best interest at the forefront.
