Criminal Law Expert

Attorney Sutton is EXCELLENT! I was charged by District Attorney Seth Edwards with obtaining property under false pretense when my former employer noted a charge made on the employer’s credit card that I was completely unaware of until after being indicted by a grand jury. I was arrested in Missouri,... about to be extradited back to NC, until Attorney Sutton arrived on the scene. She was able to have my bond reduced from $75000 to $5000 and I was released and was able to travel on my own recognizance to NC to appear in court. I must mention that when I showed up in Washington County, the deputies (one of which recognized me from him working with the local schools) tried to arrest me again unsuccessfully because of Attorney Sutton. I returned the card to my former employer but did not realize the card information remained on my PriceLine account when I made travel reservations when charging what I thought was my own personal credit card. Because I pay my card off at the end of the month, I had few charges on my card that month and paid all the charges in full, not realizing the minimal charge was not on my card. After my arrest and release--thanks to Attorney Sutton, I was able to better understand what and why I was charged. I did not know the details of the charges until after my release from jail. I was arrested on August 16, 2017, remained all day on the 17th and released on the 18th. Attorney Sutton and I discussed the details after my release. She did a THOROUGH job on my case and did an investigation of my Priceline account and the charges made on the district's card back in January 2017. She uncovered where the district's card they issued me was still active, and it auto populated when I clicked on their card thinking it was mine. I did not realize their card remained in my Priceline profile. I deleted their information from my profile. I was able to make proper reimbursement of the nominal travel charges soon after learning the details as it was never my intent that this would happen. I am grateful that Attorney Watsi Sutton proved my innocence. After presenting these finding to the DA, all charges were dropped. I was cleared as I knew all along as I would never do such a thing intentionally. I don't worry about the public scrutiny as there was much, I rest in my faith in Jesus Christ and knowing that HE knew my intent all along. Thank you Attorney Sutton for your skilled and precise legal mind and your tenacity in making my case and my liberty a priority. I recommend you to anyone needing help in your field of preparation. You represented UNC Chapel Hill Law School, and more importantly Jesus Christ, Well! Great is your reward!

Thankful

I'm a 24year old Correctional Sergeant. I'm married and a proud father of 5 kids and step kids. After speaking with several lawyers and paying a lot of money with no or little results I sat down with Ms. Sutton. I explain to her that I wanted to gain custody of my son which I had temporally custody b...ut I needed it permanently. I felt as if I was in a losing battle because I was a male. I explained my situation, concerns, and the battle that I was facing. Ms. Sutton answer all my questions and made my goal that seemed unattainable into a realistic one. I was worried financial but she worked with me and was very reasonable. Ms. Sutton worked very hard for me to gain custody of my son. After gaining custody of my son my ex wife continued to act out and file false charges on me, Ms. Sutton saw me through it all and continues to this day to fight for me. Ms. Sutton has also handle serveral of my trafgic matters without me having to show for court. Ms. Sutton is truly a hard worker, intelligent ,caring, understanding, and respectful person. I'm truly thankful for the job that she has done for me. I look forward to working with Ms. Sutton in the future to gain custody of my other son. I always recommend Ms. Sutton to all my friends and co workers needing help.

A lawyer with a heart of gold

My situation was custody for my daughter, who was taken by her mom with out my knowledge, i contacted watsi Suttons law firm, and spoke with Susan and she advised Watsi about the situation and she immediately got the ball rolling, i got immediate emergency custody, and she continued the battle, and... had every detail about everything for the case, she has a heart of gold and will go out of her way for her clients, we had court sessions one after the other, she will put everyone in there place, with out them noticing when she will strike, she will catch fabrications and lies from the other parties, so at the end i was granted custody of my daughter, and once again my daughters mom tried again to fight for custody and Watsi stood strong in the court room, and provided cases from years ago and shut them down and i won the case again, the other lawyer tried and tried, but was always dodged by Watsis responds, if you want a lawyer to fight for you and your children Watsi Sutton is the one you should hire, she has a heart of gold, she will not treat you as a client but as a friend who you can count on. Thank you Watsi Sutton and thank you Susan, you guys are great and we appreciate your help.

Watsi Sutton

Watsi Sutton went above and beyond on her research for our child custody case. She is astute, perceptive and "all in" when getting the facts. She looks for the truth and hones in on it in court. Watsi also spends time with you as a client to know how to serve you in court. She is available, along wit...h Susan, her paralegal. Her expertise in matters of the law was evident. Her memory amazed me down to the smallest detail! I highly recommend Watsi Sutton for all your legal needs.

Unsatisfied, but she has great potential

I hired Mrs. Sutton for a very difficult child custody case. Unfortunately the outcome was on the extreme opposite end of the original predicted outcome. I found Mrs. Sutton to be very attentive to me as her client, and very approachable and interactive. I found her somewhat confidently knowledgable ...of the laws. However, that also was the down fall to hiring her as an attorney. I feel she isnt very aggressive in the courtroom and allows the case to be steered in whatever direction is most comfortable and wont get confrontational on your behalf. I feel for the 3,000.00 I paid her, all I did was hire a friend. Not an fighter and advocator producing results. She may be a better attorney for another type of case, but in my child custody case, I was just not satisfied. I do find her to be a pleasant person to work with and her attitude and disposition are more personal and pleasant then other attorneys I have worked with in the past and currently, but you have to decided what you want pleasantries, or an aggressive attorney on your behalf so you dont have to be.
