I joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2001 and became a shareholder in the firm in 2002. I help people who have been hurt.
I received my Juris Doctor from the North Carolina Central University School of Law. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I wrote for The Daily Tar Heel and the UNC Journalist. Although I have been recognized for my contributions to the broader legal community, my true passion is working to ensure the firm’s clients receive the help they need.
The most rewarding aspect of practicing law is seeing the positive difference you can make in the lives of people who are suffering; I feel very strongly that the practice of law is an opportunity to help others. This drive to help others was instilled at an early age by my parents and further nurtured by my faith.
I am a member of the American Association for Justice and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. I have previously served on the Executive Committee for the Auto Torts Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the Advisory Board for the North Carolina Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Board of Governors for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. I have published a number of articles and am a contributing aurthor to the NC Personal Inury Liens Manual.
