Chapter 13

We filed in the Greensboro office & our paralegal was Morgan Swink. She was very nice & helpful. Whenever I contacted her by email or phone she always responded back or called me back quickly. If she didn't have the answers for us she always asked other paralegals or the lawyers to get the right answ...ers for us. Thanks Morgan!

Connie Nichols

This was my first time actually coming in to seek help with bankruptcy. I always heard bad things about bankruptcy, but my sister explained the process to me. When I call in for a consultation the return call was returned quickly. I also recieved an appointment to come in quick. I was nervous, but wh...en I came in the staff was excellent. They took me step by Step and if I had questions they answered. I was introduced to every person that would have a part in my case. I met Connie Nichols she has went way and beyond her job to talk with the lawyer about the issues I had. The lawyer was nice to respond. Yes I am in the process of hiring this law firm to handle my needs that I needed help on.

Very good Law firm usually

This law firm has been very good with my bankruptcy case until last year. My paralegal use to be Patty and she was awesome. I could email her and get an answer in two days. I have Jannell R. and I have called her for a status on several occasion and she said she would call me back and I never get... a phone call or email back from her. My bankruptcy ended last year and I have not received the final papers as of yet. I do not think it take a year to close a bankruptcy case. I do not know if Jannell R. is new or just got a lot of clients but I wish she would find time in her busy schedule to let me know what is going on with my case. The last email I received from her was December 2017.

Poor Post Filing Assistances

I hired this firm back in 2006 or 2007 to assist me with filing bankruptcy chapter 13 their suggestion. I was instructed to relinquish my property back to the bank upon, which I did. I made all of my payments in my chapter 13 and received my bankruptcy discharge. Now here in 2018 I receive a letter ...from the State of North Carolina stating I owe back taxes with incurred interest on that property from 2013. I didn't understand why I owed this money, therefore I contacted John Orcutts office for explanation. They're the experts that I hired and paid. I was told I need to speak with Jenelle R. the paralegal over my case. I began contacting the office in January 2018 it is now April 2018. I've since had to make payment arrangements with the state of North Carolina to keep them from levying my current property or bank account. Jenelle R. has retuned my calls less than a handful of times, instructing me to email her or call her back. I have done as she request. I thought emailing may result in a faster response, so I sent her a personal detailed email in March upon which she still has not responded. The voice message line appears to be generic and shared. Even so I've still left detialed messages explaining my concerns and issue. The email has yet to be responded too and the return calls at a the time that I'm unavailable (PT appt) I have gotten are always the same message instructing me to call again. I hired this law firm because they're supposed to be the experts you shouldn't be left on your own no matter how many years later to try and figure things out on your own. The phone staff is rude they have all of these channels and you can never really talk to anyone for assistance this is my personal experience with John T Orcutts office in Raleigh North Carolina. Did I really owe this money I guess I'll never know because out of fear of losing everything I just made the payment arrangements because I was frustrated with calling the office and getting nowhere.

not happy

in 2008,i was layed off from my job and did the not smart thing to do, i took my 401k out to live on.in 2014 the irs and the state siezed my bank account and told me i would go to jail. we went to john orcutt and they said they could help us and we proceded to file ch.13. these taxes were over 10 tho...usand dollars and were the primary reason we filed. we paid these people 240.00 a month for 3 years and as soon as we were discharged my bank account was seizes again by the state revenue and 2 weeks later the irs sent me 2 certified letters of intent to levy property, now i owe intrest on way over 10 thousand dollars, so this bankruptcy did absolutly nothing but disperse 4064.00 to lawer fees that i could have went toward a payment plan to the irs if we were not lied to by this firm. if they had told us up front they could not help us i would have not filed. the post case parallegal was not helpful at all as was rude to me through a email i sent, which i still have. i just set up a payment with the irs and the state and i will be paying more that i payed this firm and twice as long....
