this lady is not a good attorney . She constantly ask for money . She had me to get all of my medical records . Never returned any calls. every time i called she always had an excuse saying she was working on another case and when the case was over she never told me any new information about anything... . And she was also in the slammer for a Failure to appear . Please stay away from this lady .

Ms. Exum has a depth of knowledge about Civil Rights and the human condition that is remarkable. She is not afraid to bring together resource consulting lawyers and other professionals to meet the needs of a case. A lawyer without ego, what a first. That however does not mean that she is a wim...p by any means. Atty. Exum brings a forceful determination that is just not based in fear no matter the size and power of her oponent. Wow! The combination means that when you are with Atty. Exum as a client, you have your best shot to achieve success. In addition, she incorporates counseling into her practice, so that you get a new personal perspective in your situation beyond the mere addressing of the basic legal needs alone. Another WOW! I heard and read about that silliness that happened in 05, but that was just that she was a new lawyer who picked the wrong case and was trying too hard. New day from my experience. She could not have been more honest, kind, or great!

I was up against odds that were over whelming. Atty. Exum put me at ease then went forward with not only power, but grace to win! She was responsive to my needs, trustworthy to a point where even her personal interests would have suffered, and she has a depth of knowledge that goes beyond just th...e confines of the law. Yes. I heard about some Bar issue that happened early in her career, but I have seen her practice develop over time and I know first hand that she puts her heart and soul into every case. She works very hard to find ways to improve her performance and the capasity of her firm. I have to respect that. I know several people who feel the same way about Atty. Exum. She is the real deal. She is what lawyers should be. YOU cannot go wrong with Atty. Exum.

Ms. Exum is the most compassionate attorney that I have ever met. She really cares about her clients. She also is knowledge about the issues in her areas of practice because of the many experiences that she has had and the extent of post graduate training that she has achieved. Her walls are covered... with plaques of achievement. I enjoyed her think out of the box approach to the issues and application of the law. She goes the last mile. She is also quick to pull resources together that include the teaming with other lawyers, when necessary, and using technology to support case management. For a small firm, she is like the little engine that could. The Misconduct Mistake of a New Lawyer: On another note, I heard about a situation in the first year of her of her career when she accepted a case in which, in hindsight, she admits should have had another lawyer to sign on with responsibility as a lawyer in the case to help her. She did have a mentor in the case, but he was not signed on with the responsibility as a lawyer in the matter. I think that she was devastated by the experience of even having adverse issues raised regarding her because of her history of being so above reproach. I know of that history as a Raleigh native, though not a personal friend. Many Raleigh natives know of her or her family, even if we do not know them personally. She acted honestly in the matter and ultimately admitted to being a new lawyer at the time. That is the biggest admission that is the subject of the discipline. I for one can forgive her zeal motivated by simply a will to help another person. That will to help others, even at her own expense, is her general reputation, in the community. My experience with her is that she works diligently and tirelessly, as a matter of just natural character. I recommend her highly. She is definitely fearless and a person of humble yet powerful faith that comes through everything that she does. She is amazing in the court room.
