Don't hire the McClanahan Law Firm! This office will run your tab up then bill you for a stamp when they can email you the letter. I'm a military veteran and retained this office for over two months to work on a case. When the case went to court the attorney (Doug) told the judge that our argument wo...uld take 30 minutes but it took less than 15 minutes which caused us to wait in court for 2 hours to be heard while being billed at $200 an hour. The attorney put on a lack luster defense and did not submit documentation/evidence to back up his defense. After losing the motion, I cancelled my service with the McClanahan Law Firm and requested the final bill. I recieved a reply stating the remaining balance will be taking out of my retainer deposit and we're "even". Three weeks later I received a call stating that if I do not pay $220.99, that I will be retroactively billed for the account balance of which I was already told we were "even". I now have to go through the North Carolina Bar Association to get this resolved. If you want to be over billed, lose your case, and feel like you've been taken advantage of then go with McClanahan Law Firm.
