Unfortunately, me and my wife did not have the best experience with Katy or her law firm. I would suggest if you were looking for an immigration lawyer to look elsewhere before obtaining her services. We made countless phone calls and sent emails with no response for weeks. Both Katy and her staff we...

I must say that I was very impressed with Katy's professionalism and passion in handling my case, which turned out successfuly. I was referred to her by one of her previous satisfied client who was convinced that she was one of the best around. I was not disappointed. I was impressed with her empathy...

I contacted Katy for an immigration issue because her rates seemed the most reasonable. All I can say is, you get what you pay for. I never felt like I could get a straight answer on any of my questions, and when she did respond, she was very rude. I even went into the office, which is in a strip mal...
I admit that I have been returning some of my requests for free consultations a few days late. I have been exceptionally busy since the Executive Orders. My staff has been advising prospective clients that it may be a few business days before I can get to their call. I am in the process of hiring an associate so that I can focus on the more complex issues, and the casework. Hopefully we will soon be able to again provide our free consultations within a day or two. I have been responding to all emails within a day during this time. As for "getting a straight answer", I do my very best to provide concise and clear answers to whatever questions I have. Unfortunately there are many times that an answer depends on specific facts of the case, and I need to see important documents to be able to give a good answer. In this particular case it appears that the complaint was that the support staff was not able to provide "answers". The staff is fully aware that it is a violation of the law to give any legal advice, and they are not able to answer questions about eligibility, etc. If I was to guess about the "Internet searches" referred to above, I believe that it refers to accessing the free information that we offer from our database to prospective clients. We are a busy practice. Sometimes there are several clients in the office at once. Sometimes there are no clients. We always have at least two front office workers to receive clients. It is unavoidable that there are some times that are busier than other. I offer high quality work, and a great deal of knowledge and experience in these areas, at a very low price. There are clients that prefer to experience a swankier office, and more one an one time with the attorney, instead. I am happy to refer people to my colleagues that offer this type of environment. There are many new attorneys that do not yet have much work in court and can often receive prospective clients without an appointment. I know several of them and they will do a great job on your case. What they lack in experience they more than make up for in dedication. I often answer questions that they may have. They typically have to charge more because they have less volume. In general the more established attorneys charge more and may not be able to offer a consultation for weeks. We offer high quality work product in a short time at a very low price. This is important for many of my clients who would not otherwise be able to afford an attorney at all. It is important to me to help people. I will continue to offer free consultations. I do need to serve my current clients first, however, since they are the ones that I owe a duty to. I am very disappointed that we did not please "Client". I truly try to do my best to help everyone that I can in the most efficient manner possible. It appears that my firm was not a good match for them. Even so, I am sad that we did not make a good impression. I do disagree, however, that I lack knowledge or trustworthiness. I feel that I am exceptional in both measures. I feel confident that any client that has actually hired me would concur with that.

Being that I live in Southern California, I was hesitant to hire Katy Chavez as our immigration attorney. We had already a different immigration case, my husband and I through a different immigration attorney in Los Angeles. When the new DACA process was announced we were going to to our LA lawyer, t...
