Mr. Roberts and his assistants did such an outstanding job while my case was going on. He understood my situation as a young man 19-22 years old having to deal with three felonies that could ruin my life. He was not only a great lawyer but a good therapist. He had confidence in me to go the right pat...h. Making a mistake in life shouldn't have to ruin my entire life. I thank him for helping me through 3 years of back and forth with the DA. He may seem a bit intimidating but that is because he cares and wants you to care too. Help him help you. As for the assistants, they were always good at calling me, my parents or emailing me any new information or reminders and never let me forget something I needed. I thank the whole law firm and wish him luck with his future clients!

Another attorney referred us to Mr. Roberts, saying that she if she had a criminal matter to deal with in Wake County that she would seek Mr. Robert's assistance. She gave us great advise, as he was able to care for my son's DUI case that was complicated by his current out-of-state residency. We we...re treated with a high level of professionalism. He and his office were quick to support us from the first phone call to the final filing of court documents. Our case was handled to our satisfaction in about 1 month from contract of engagement to settling of court costs. We were kept informed at all steps along the way. I highly recommend Mr. Roberts to handle DUI/DWI citations.

Edd K. Roberts was referred to me by a friend. When I first met with him and explained my case and how I was interested in hiring him his first response was along the lines of- well, do I want to represent you is the real question. Taken aback a bit, I initially thought the confidence was good. Lik...e yes! Someone who has balls and will really win my case. Now let me explain my case. I was pulled over for speeding, the cop asked me to do a sobriety test that I did mediocre on, I refused to blow, and was taken downtown. There was no supporting evidence other than the cop’s testimony to be convicted. Mr. Roberts was late to not one court meeting, but every single one that I had. I would get there at 9am and he would mosey in around 11-1130. When I would call his secretary she would give me an excuse of- oh, he’s in the building somewhere. I paid $2,000 and was never given instructions on what I needed to do in order to receive a provisional license for work. Thank god I did my own research, because I would have been completely in the dark if I had relied solely on him to help me. Edd K. Roberts barley fought for my case at trial and never brought up my prior service and honorable discharge of the United States Army or my health condition of Raynaud's disease that could have explained my mediocre performance during the physical sobriety test. When it was all said and done he was not interested to going through the appeal process and I still had to pay close to $800 in court fines and fees. If you are in the same shoes as I was, your best bet is to get a different lawyer 100%. I hope this helps someone so that this doesn’t happen to you. I had a very bright future ahead of me and really was hoping Edd K. Roberts would have been the one to help me. Unfortunately, that was not the result.
