Good lawyer, I guess, for clean-cut, easy cases. Absolutely abysmal, appalling, and abhorent attorney if there are *any* points of contention, need for show cause, preparedness for trial or even child support hearings when you own your own business. Has a consistent history of continuing cases when h...e's nervous about the opposing counsel, and gives non-credible excuses for those continances. He will also withhold extremely important legal moves as options based on his impression of your financial situation, rather than laying out all options in a case. Gives unheard of bad advice such as, "If you get a check from the opposing party, cash it immediately, regardless of who will eventually owe, and will tell you not to pay child support until a judge orders you to. Demands that your communication be in writing, then only responds by phone call (no written documentation on his end). I suggest that if you use him, every time he calls you, send him a follow up email with a summary of your conversation and a request for confirmation. Because of this man, I see my children only 3 days per month, and have been ordered to pay more in child support than I make. His advice to me was, "just pay what you can. The worst that will happen will be that you go to jail."

DO NOT hire this attorney! He has payment plans for a reason. He has to do all of the work himself, often forcing clients to do too much. Turns out my ex was willing to settle but Mr. Schupp wasn't returning her attorneys messages!!!! If Mr. Schupp would communicate with other attorneys I could ha...ve saved ALOT of money, time, and massive stress. Instead, he feeds your ego and convinces you to go to court. Isn't an attorney supposed to do what is best overall for his client? And he claims to be a Christian, which is part of the reason I hired him. I thought he'd pursue a peaceful settlement. Instead, I got a court battle. If you want an attorney who'll do whatever you want, even if it's not in your best interest, hire this guy. He's happy to make more money by going to court instead of doing all things necessary to reach a peaceful settlement. Payment plans sound great, but in the end you still pay more than you should have had to, and you'll be robbed of your peace in the process.

Mr Schupp took my case just over a year ago, starting with my need for defense of wrongfully issued ex-parte protection order, and representation for the custody war that would follow. On our initial meeting and consultation, he was very professional, and thoroughly examined all the evidence I ha...d on hand regarding my case. He outlined appropriate strategies for us to follow, and advised me on exactly what to do, and more importantly, what not to do. Upon paying the retainer, he was willing to work with me on making payments for the remainder of the balance owed, which I'm so - so grateful for, because that's the only way I could possibly obtain council in this matter, which has completely upended my entire existence. With his representation, and I'm assuming my ex's complete lack of any evidence of wrongdoing on my part, she was compelled to drop the protection order, which was dismissed, unfortunately w/o prejudice, meaning she'd threaten to have it reinstated any time she felt displeased with anything I did or said. We are still fighting the good fight for custody of my child, and for me to at least be allowed to have visitation. Covid has severely delayed many aspects of the case. Each day separated from my child is sheer agony, and The court system is moving so slowly, I'm sure compounded by covid. However Mr Schupp has been there for me every step of the way. At times when I was just inconsolably crying and felt like I was loosing my mind, he personally called me, and stayed on the phone talking me down, and assuring me that I just have to hold on, that we'll get through this, not to do anything irrational, and that he would be right there with me every step of the way. This scenario arose more times than I can count, and each time, he was there to talk me down, and provide me with much need comfort and reassurances. I've NEVER heard of any lawyer going to the lengths he has to be there FOR ME in my greatest times of need and despair. He is always very punctual in returning emails and phone calls, once even emailing me while he was on vacation where in he'd told me he'd be unreachable over that period of time. I would not hesitate for one second to hire Mr Schupp, for any legal matter that is in his scope of practice. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of representation. To all the men out there(especially those, who like me, were victims of domestic abuse/violence), the system is set up in a way that's not necessarily going to work in our favor. Dont face it alone... Please dont face it alone, it will leave you a level of broken that one can't hardly fathom. Even with a great attorney, it is an absolute nightmare. Mr Schupp is a top notch advocate, and I don't know what I would do or where i would be without his kindness, steadfast guidance, and leadership. Tl;Dr: Mr Schupp is a wonderful lawyer. Honest, straight forward, hard working, punctual, and will diligently pursue your case to the best of his abilities. He communicates frequently with me, and always makes me feel as though I'm the most important client he has.
