We provide a high level of personal service and attention to men and women throughout Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham Counties.  We address family issues  including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution of marital property termination of parental rights, and domestic violence. Although we routinely go to court, we also represent people who want to avoid the intervention of the courts by using the collaborative divorce process and other methods of dispute resolution. Alhough we take a team approach with all clients to help address their needs, we make certain that you have access to our attorney, Martha C. Massie.

Highly Recommend Massie Law Office
Martha Massie, (Massie Law Office) was a beacon of hope to myself and son (family) at a time it appeared we had no options, for a time sensitive situation. Martha was readily available for our calls and correspondence. Answering her calls many times herself. She was always very prompt in returning calls & correspondence in a timely manner. Martha's, ethics are above and beyond, straight forward, giving the absolute truth. Which I much appreciated! Martha, was able to prove our case and unjust denials and untruths, with her research, providing the truth, and reflecting her professional skills, so that justice prevailed. Beyond grateful
Martha Massie took on a very complicated, improper, time consuming custody case for me and she has been absolutely heaven sent. Not only has she been very dedicated and thorough she has been very proactive during the whole process. Needless to say she has greatly exceeded my expectations. She has a outstanding knowledge of the law and judicial system that I know would be greatly beneficial to anyone going through similar situation. Knowledgable, Supportive, Attention to Needs and Options
Martha Massie was recommended by a friend at a time when I was emotionally knocked off my feet! We met, discussed the issues at hand and laid out a plan that covered my needs, wants and options. She kept me informed throughout the process, gave me support with my concerns and walked me thru a rough separation (of sorts) with my self esteem still in tact and my confidence on the rebound. Martha Massie (and her assistant Leslie) are very skilled at their respective jobs and I would whole heartedly recommend Martha Massie for your legal needs.

Not a good child support lawyer
She seemed to be on the other side and to be working with them and against me. I had to review documentation and tell her what should be done instead of her reviewing it and telling me from a legal standpoint what my options were. She would receive documents from child support and pass them to me to sign without pointing out areas of concern or things that needed changing for my benefit. I would never use her again.

Didn't get anything done
Good start with attorney (professional attitude), but didn't get any better. She was hired for right at 8 months and we didn't get anything achieved. Seemed like I was being charged for a lot of useless runs/emails replying back to me. Office staff was nice, but attorney wasn't able to get the emergency visitation that I needed or anything else. The other attorney was eating us alive. Everything I asked for, I was getting denied and the other attorney was making it happen over night. I paid $4,500 and we didn't even make it to court. Was told it would be an additional $6-7k to finish. Ended up parting ways and handling things my self.

This office takes tremendous care in zealously, thoroughly, and ethically representing our clients. Suffice it to say that we are completely transparent in assessing costs and discussing the likely outcomes with our clients.
