Daniel Harris is an experienced and talented defense attorney who is widely recognized by his peers and by local judges for his skill in the courtroom and in trial, his knowledge of the law, his ability to interact with clients and others in the court system, and his integrity. Attorney Harris is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in both State and Federal Law. Only 3.9% of North Carolina attorneys gain this certification in their area of concentration.
Attorney Harris is in the very select company of still practicing attorneys to have won a Federal Criminal Jury Trial in the Middle District of North Carolina, having his client found not guilty of an indictment for Impersonating a Federal Officer. Attorney Harris has also successfully argued multiple suppression motions in Federal Court, obtained probationary sentences, and helped clients receive substantial downward variances.
Attorney Harris is certified by the North Carolina Bar as a Board-Certified Specialist in State and Federal Criminal Law. This process of Specialization (in two areas) requires extensive qualification checks, jury trial experience, recommendations by other defense lawyers, judges, and prosecutors and then to pass multiple days of testing in Raleigh.
