Exceeded my every expectation!

Mr. Kurtz expertly guided me through the most challenging time of my life, from initial consultation to the finalization of my divorce. He was the first attorney I'd ever hired and investing in his services turned out to be the best money I've ever spent! He is extremely knowledgeable, very kind and ...although my situation was unconventional, he devised a great plan and executed it brilliantly. Every email, phone call and visit I had with him, his paralegal and his office was a pleasant one. If you need EXCELLENT representation, you've found it! You won't regret trusting Jon with your case.

Miracle Worker

Mr. Kurtz agreed to take on my complicated third-party custody case. He worked diligently to ensure that I was not only awarded the right to pursue custody, but was actually awarded custody of the daughter I had raised since infancy. Mr. Kurtz is an extremely thorough and organized attorney and was... well-prepared for all of the many court hearings we attended. Although he was the professional and was always willing to provide his opinion, Mr. Kurtz let me make the final call about how to proceed with the case, if a decision was required. His communication with me was regular and consistent and responses to all emails or phone calls were always made in a timely manner. I would highly recommend using Mr. Kurtz's legal services for any family law matter!

"As a colleague and as a most capable attorney for any opposing party, I have the greatest of respect for Jon Kurtz! I have known him for nearly twenty years, and without exception, Jon is always fully prepared for either negotiation, mediation or trial. He knows the law, and has acquired a wealth of experience in dealing with even the most complex family law cases. Coupled with his unwavering good judgment and practical handling of family law cases, Jon is a formidable adversary, but always one who operates within the bounds of sound ethics and the ultimate in professional courtesy. I look forward to continuing to serve as a member of the Forsyth County Bar for many years to come!"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
