DOUGLAS J. MEIS

Attorney Meis completed his undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He attended law school at Wake Forest University.
In his spare time, Attorney Meis is a fan of just about anything on wheels. He is an avid cyclist and has been riding for over 30 years. Today, he’s a member of the Piedmont Flyers Club. He is also a lifelong car nut and has participated in vintage racing events. He’s been racing for over 25 years and has driven a 1967 Honda S800 and a 1974 Lola T340. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Vintage Drivers Club of America and is also their technical director.
Since 1990, Attorney Douglas J. Meis has been a zealous advocate for the rights of victims of personal injuries and on-the-job injuries. He has represented clients throughout North Carolina in workers’ compensation claims, bicycle accident claims, andauto and motorcycle accident claims. He has also represented clients in criminal and traffic court. These days, Mr. Meis focuses his practice on two main areas: bicycle accidents and workers’ compensation.
