C. Douglas Maynard, Jr. worked as an insurance adjuster for several years prior to beginning the practice of law representing people against insurance companies. Doug has argued cases before the Supreme Court of North Carolina and the Court of Appeals. He has filed “friends’ of the court” briefs (amicus) on insurance coverage issues in both courts. He is also editor of one of the definitive legal treatises (book) on uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage in North Carolina. Doug has lived in Winston-Salem for more than 50 years, having moved there when he was just three months old. Excellent Attorney

Mr. Maynard and his staff helped us navigate a complex, more than decade long, Workers compensation case. Without his expertise myself and my family would have been at a loss. Excellent representation and result

While riding my motorcycle in Asheville North Carolina I was struck and severely injured by a drunk driver who had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit. Being a Delaware resident and not familiar with any firm in the area I was referred to Doug by my attorney in Christiana Delaware. Doug was able to secure a very successful settlement for me. I cannot say enough good things about Doug and his wonderful staff who worked very hard for my benefit.

Great Experience

My experience was excellent. The claim involved Workers Comp, as well as Personal Injury which made the case somewhat complicated. Mr Maynard, along with his staff kept me informed and answered my questions promptly. Unlike many other attorneys, this Practice was always easy to communicate with.

Very helpful

Doug Maynard was really offended by a friend. I was absolutely clueless about what I should do after an car accident landed me in the hospital. Mr. Maynard helped me greatly and did not take advantage of my ignorance. He stuck with me through my complications.

Car Accident

Mr. Maynard came very highly recommended by a family friend who is also a retired attorney. I was very comfortable during our initial meeting and it was evident that he was genuinely concerned about my plight and the details of my prospective case. Once I retained him to represent me, he and his staff were very thorough and worked very diligently to obtain all of the evidence, including contacting an expert, to further our cause toward a successful outcome. Thorough, calm, and efficient!

Doug represented me in a Worker's Compensation case. He is so calm and efficient that all of my stress went away as soon as I retained him. His personality meshed very well with my husband's and mine, which made everything easier for us. Throughout the process, I always felt like he was making sure my interests were protected. And he made sure I knew well in advance how things would progress. And, in fact, the final results were almost exactly what he told us they would be. Wrongful Death

Competent, Knowledgeable, Compassionate and most importantly Available. Treated each issue and/or question with respect and proper interest. Always made time for conferences as needed and never had to chase him or his staff for responses which were always timely. Outcome was reasonable for the circumstances.
