Excellent Service

My mother’s case was one of extreme complications. He fought consistently for her & I was very satisfied with the end of result. Kudos also to Megan she was patient, kind & professional. Communication through the office was always great thanks to her.

Worst experience ever

I hired Joseph Taylor almost 2 months ago. When I spoke with him after paying the $50 to talk him. He told me to pay him $1500 to take my child custody case and he would do the intake and talk to me within 2 weeks. I paid him almost 2 months ago and never ever spoke to him. All I needed was a court d...ate scheduled. He couldn't do that let alone even call me once. Finally, after 7 messages sent and calling the office somebody called me back today because last night I sent a message asking for a refund. He answered them about my refund but never would answer about when to take 5 mins to call me after lying to me and taking my money. Now I'm refunded with the money with no lawyer and no court date. I HIGHLY recommend you do NOT use this guy!!! Terrible terrible terrible!! Obviously doesn't care whatsoever about your situations and is too busy to ever take on a case or will take your case and not do anything with it!!! Now I'm starting from square one because of a lying, selfish lawyer!

91/70 Reckless Driving Speeding in Brunswick County

I highly recommend Atty. Taylor and his office. I was charged with doing 91 in a 70 mph zone, so it was a Reckless Driving Speeding Misdemeanor charge. He appeared in court on my behalf and I ended up doing 24 hrs Community Service, completing an 8 hr online Defensive Driving Course, and paying $431... in fines to the court, and my charge was dropped down to an Improper Control/Driving charge, which is an Infraction, not a Misdemeanor. A win in my book. Regarding Attorney Taylor - he was great from the start. He responded to my call right away and was informative and reassuring. He clearly explained what the penalties and consequences of my charges were and explained what he could do to lessen the charges. I was totally stressed and at a complete loss as to what to do, especially since I lived out of state, and hiring him immediately took all that stress away. He was affordable and his services were worth every penny. His office was wonderful as well. Megan, a Legal Assistant at the office, was very responsive to all my emails, which I really appreciated. Getting through the whole process really would have been impossible without them, especially being out of state. The court appearances were scheduled and then continued 4 times! His Office kept me informed, finally appeared in court for me, and in the end, gave me a letter clearly articulating exactly what I needed to do and by when in order to fulfill the Deferred Disposition and get my charges amended. I can't stress enough how worth it it was hiring them. Thank you Attorney Taylor and staff!!!

HORRIBLE communication

I received a speeding ticket over the summer and received numerous letters in the mail from lawyers asking to be hired in support of my case. When narrowed down i called several to talk to on the phone and Mr Taylor called me back immediately. After deciding to go with Mr Taylor I realized I had a fe...w other questions about supporting documents I had for my case, and a few questions. After several emails with NO responses, voicemails, and phone calls over a two month period it was apparently impossible to reach Mr Taylor. All I ever heard was the same excuse from the receptionist “I will pass your message along and have him call you back.” We’ll my court date comes up now and still no word from Mr Taylor and I come to find out from again his receptionist after calling 5 days after my court date to find out the final judgement that Mr Taylor was running behind that day and they pushed the date out a month. Now another waiting game a month later my date comes up again I need to call Mr Taylor’s office to find out the final verdict and I’m told a letter is being typed up and when Mr Taylor reviews it she will send it out. Two weeks later In the postal mail I get a letter stating I owe a fine to the state of VA but no explanation whether i have points on my license or any other information. I am Extremely dissatisfied with this service and would not recommend Mr Taylor to anyone or trust him in that sense. If you cannot communicate with a lawyer your paying there is something VERY wrong. I’m sure your also thinking why didn’t I ask for my money back to hire someone else? Well I tried that and I was told “Mr Taylor will call you back about a refund” nope never received that call either !!!!

Rip Off

This "lawyer" makes further supports the notion that lawyers are criminals in their own right. To make a long story short. He very quite nice on the phone when I originally spoke to him. His fee was the cheapest sure, but I figured, its a traffic incident and the other two lawyers I spoke to both ...said the same thing(s) he did. He is probably a bit mature in age from the sound of his voice, so again I figured this is routine for him. Well, $150 later in his fees as well as $189 in court costs when the judge found me NOT GUILTY due to faulty equipment makes no sense to me. If I was found not guilty, why am I still ordered to pay the fine? So, buyer beware, I have a feeling he dropped the ball unless someone wants to prove to me otherwise.

"Joseph was my lawyer and a lifeline when I walked into an unfamiliar courtroom over a year ago. His professionalism, extensive knowledge of the local court's practice, and years of experience gave me peace of mind throughout the process, and helped me get a better result than I ever would have gotten on my own. Five stars for sure."
