Once I received this ticket I went through a roller coaster of research trying to find out how serious or not serious it was, what my odds were for being able to get the charges reduced, the odds of it even getting reported outside of VA etc. After lots of research and still not really being able to ...put a finger on what the best course of action was, I decided to call Mr. Taylor to hear what he had to say. I had called another attorney previously and wasn't exactly sold so I had held off on calling another for a while. The call I had with Mr. Taylor left me with a very different impression and even feeling somewhat optimistic despite a very frank and realistic conversation. I soon after decided to play it safe and hire Mr. Taylor as I felt he was my best shot of being able to have a chance at mitigating the charges. The process of paying was all quite simple and reasonable. He advised me that after speaking with the prosecutor there may have still been a small chance of a reduction but my chances weren't too high (he mentioned they were higher with an appeal). At that point I was pretty much set on an appeal occurring, for better or for worse, when I finally received the disposition letter indicating that the charges had been in fact reduced. Whatever the case may have been and whatever may have best influenced the decision, I can honestly say that I'm very glad that I decided to choose Mr. Taylor to represent me. We didn't speak too much, but he's a pretty nice guy and I always felt he cared about position in the situation.
