Matthew Stewart didn't grow up wanting to be a lawyer. After graduating with a degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech, he worked as a land developer and a highway contractor before he learned he could do more good by helping those without a voice fight for justice.
He discovered that he could help his future clients as a litigator, or trial attorney, while he was still a law student. He earned awards from organizations both in and out of law school while developing his skills as a trial lawyer.
In 2013, he opened his own law firm, which has grown steadily each year as more satisfied clients get the word out that an aggressive and knowledgeable attorney is available and open for business in central Virginia.
It took just a few short years in business for Mr. Stewart to begin earning victories for clients in all types of cases. He has represented clients from all over the United States in matters ranging from criminal to personal injury to custody matters. He has successfully defended rape, robbery, and murder, and argued and won in the Supreme Court of Virginia.

I can confirm the Google reviews saying he terrible and never answers calls are true! His office is never open and he failed to appear! There must be some kind of recourse for this behavior!

He never answers the phone and does not return calls. He hasn't met with me son since being assigned his lawyer. How can he defend someone without meeting them or talking to them. Terrible!

Mr.Stewart really helped me from the beginning of my case until the end he paid attention to every detail of the case and he worked hard for me and my family, I have never met a lawyer that works as hard as he does. I recommend him to any person that needs help and wants a lawyer that cares for you....

I was pulled over and I had my handgun in my glove box. The officer charged me for a concealed weapon. Mr. Stewart had the case dismissed and I was only required to take a driver improvement course for my traffic infraction. He was very professional and courteous. His office personnel were very helpf...

I've consulted with him on several cases, and he has been right 100% of the time. He is also humble enough to tell you if he doesn't know something off the top of h...
