Total tenacity!
Richard Serpe is and will always be our hero. He fought for us for 11 years as China put up roadblock after roadblock, but he was successful. If you need a lawyer who will not quit, no matter what, Richard is your man. We highly recommend him!

Defective Drywall
In 2010, we discovered our home was built with a significant amount of defective Chinese Drywall. To remedy the problem, we had to move out of our home for nearly 8 months to essentially demolish the interior of our house to the studs, then rebuild. Since none of these expenses were covered by our homeowner’s policy, we engaged the law offices of Richard J. Serpe, PC to represent our interests in Virginia law suits and a national class action lawsuit. Given the country of origin of the primary defendant, we never thought we’d ever recover a dime. After nearly 10 years, this complicated case finally reached a successful conclusion. To say we were stunned by the successful outcome of this national class action suit as well as the previous Virginia suits and the fact that we were nearly made whole for our out-of-pocket expenses is an understatement. As this sad case has finally drawn to a close, we cannot thank Mr. Serpe enough for his honesty throughout the entire process, his dogged persistence, determination, attention to detail, professionalism, and the business risks he took over the past decade on behalf of those of us afflicted by this product.

Honest legal advice- I highly recommend!
My husband and I have been working with Richard for the past year and had a wonderful experience. At our first meeting, he did not push us to sign anything or make us feel pressured to choose him as our lawyer; he actually would not let us sign anything and gave us a copy of the contract to read at home before deciding to work with him. My schedule was very busy and we had to relocate soon after starting the legal process. Richard always worked very hard to schedule appointments and phone calls around my schedule, even though it was my husband's lawsuit. He listened carefully to our concerns and gave us honest legal advice. We never felt that he was leading us towards decisions that were more in his interest than ours. I highly recommend the Law Offices of Richard Serpe!

Child Dog Bite
My 7-year-old daughter was outside playing with friends in front of our home when she was viciously attacked by our neighbor’s Rottweiler. The Rottweiler dug a hole under the fence, escaped, and ran straight towards the children. The dog ended up attacking my daughter by the calf, pulling her to the ground and dragging her several feet before letting go. When she arrived at the hospital, she was treated for two large lacerations and numerous small bites and puncture wounds before being transferred to CHKD where she had to have surgery. My lawyer, Richard Serpe, and his staff did a thorough investigation into the dog owner, and were able to secure a settlement for my daughter. The settlement allowed us to pay her medical bills, as well as set aside funds for her future education. I am so glad I decided to contact Richard Serpe. Even though his office was 4 hours away, he and his staff handled all of the complicated legal issues so that I could focus on my daughter’s health and healing. If you’ve been hurt because someone else was careless, I highly recommend you call Richard Serpe no matter where you are in Virginia. THANK YOU! [

Dog attack
When I passed a woman walking her dogs, I had no idea the dogs would lunge at me. The attack left me with serious injuries on my face and arm. I still have the scars today. Thankfully, I reached out to Richard Serpe, who handled everything for me. The whole process was much easier than I ever expected, and his entire team was so easy to work with. Thanks to them, I got a settlement beyond anything I could have expected. I would like to thank Mr. Serpe and his entire staff, specially Meg Cudden who went out of her way to help me numerous times throughout my case. Justice for Victims of Chinese Drywall
Richard Serpe was the answer to our prayers for finding justice in the legal system. Our fight against the toxic drywall case over the course of six years was emotional and difficult to live with every day. Richard was with us the entire way to help us get through this nightmare. He always made us feel like we were more than just clients... he treated us like we were family! We highly recommend him to help with product liability issues. Hopefully, we will never need him again. If we do, he will be the one we will call. He was professional but concerned for our welfare as if we were his extended family. Our family has been represented for the last five years in a federal and state suit against parties responsible for our home being built with faulty drywall. Bringing in Richard Serpe was my best decision!
Within seconds of meeting with Richard Serpe, he identified a number of potential mistakes I was making - many of which could have been quite costly. Throughout the entire process, from the accident, to physical therapy to court dates and depositions, Richard acted as my advocate, my friend, my partner and my champion. He was meticulous in his gathering of evidence, he was thoughtful in how he handled documentation. There were days when I couldn't focus on the future because the present was just too challenging. Richard often checked in on me, took phone calls and emails and was incredibly responsive. He took all the heat so I could focus on recovery. I can't imagine how I would have been able to make it through this process without having Richard by my side.
