Took my money and ran

I have read several reviews on here, and it seems that I am not the only one to have had the most unprofessional and horrible experience with rick morris. I originally spoke with him in 2013 right after i got out, and he convinced me that he would have no problem helping me correct the discharge narr...ative on my DD-214. I decide to hire rick in 2018, and paid him $3800 to take my case. At that time he was professional and convincing that he had my best interest at heart. It has been three years now, and I can barely get him to answer the phone, return a phone call, or return an email. I was asked originally to upload all of my requested documentation into practice panther, and after a year of not receiving any case updates, I was told that they move to clio, and that I would have to upload all the documentation again. I found it very frustrating that they didnt even have the professional courtesy to inform me that they moved platforms and needed my information again. I once again uploaded all the required documents into clio, and was told by rick morris that I would have to go through my medical paperwork and highlight all the areas regarding to my case. I told him that there was a lot of literature in my paperwork that I didn't understand and his reply was he wasn't a doctor so i could either do it or he basically was done with my case. I went through my paperwork the best that I could and sent it back to mr.morris, and waited 2 months before I called him to be told he was busy call him back in two weeks. I waited two weeks, and called back, no answer of course. I emailed him asking him to please take my case to the review board, and the reply email said, "you texted me only two weeks ago". I was told he would have a letter for me by the end of the week, and after once again waiting two weeks, I had to attempt to contact his office to be told, I never tried to contact him, because he had been in his office all day. Now im out a lot of money, wasted 3 years of my time. Please do your due diligence before hiring this attorney. He will take your money and then good luck getting ahold of him.

Horrible Lawyer

Consulted and Hired him in 2013. $4700.00 up front, listened to his advice about how he could win this for me with the BCNR. It took his team till 2015 to submit the petition to the board. I didnt see a results letter till 2017, and that was like pulling teeth. We discussed the petition and it neede...d to be re-written and resubmitted. He and his staff talked a great game, but by Jan of 2019, it was avoid me, miss phone appointments till it became a total non communications. I am so disappointed, with his lack of performance and lack of client care. Submitting complaints to the bar in VA and DC

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I endorse Rich Morris. I serve with Rick Morris in the Virginia General Assembly and on legal matters involving military law. I am Chairman of the House Courts of Justice (Judiciary Committee). Rick is my "go to" attorney when I need legal work done on important legal issues with serious consequences. In my private law practice, when I have a military client, I always refer them to Rick to work out the consequences that may result from a criminal charge."
