Biography
Bassel co-founded Westendorf & Khalaf with the primary goal of providing honest, effective, and aggressive representation for people charged with criminal and traffic offenses. He has successfully argued numerous cases and motions in General District Court, Circuit Court, and the Virginia Court of Appeals. Bassel has aggressively fought complex jury trials on charges carrying up to life imprisonment as well as numerous trials for DUI and misdemeanor offenses. Prior to working as a trial attorney in the Tidewater area, Bassel served as a magistrate conducting bond hearings as well as probable cause hearings for the issuance of search warrants and arrest warrants. He knows what you are up against and he understands the importance of receiving thorough and aggressive representation from day one.
