Katherine and Kelli, her assistant were an answer to a prayer! My son had never had a ticket much less reckless driving ticket. Katherine was with us from the start calming our fears and representing our son. She gave us detailed instructions on how he could volunteer (even gave us a list) to expr...ess his regret to the city of Virginia Beach. She had us get a calibration, which showed he was not driving at the speed that he was ticketed for, and she also had him take the REDAP course, and this was before we ever set foot in the court room. Katherine supported my son and myself 100 percent, even filing an appeal when she felt the first ruling was not justified. My son will still pay his ticket and court fees, however without the help of Kathleen and Kelli it could have been much, much worse! We highly recommend her if you are in need of a lawyer!!

I will try my best to describe the level of admiration I have for Ms. Coltrain. I had first hired another attorney and unfortunately didn't have a good experience or outcome, which resulted in being charged with a 1st DUI. I was referred to Katherine from a different attorney for my reckless driving ticket. She gave me a nice detailed consultation. Her prices were very reasonable so I hired her to defend me on the reckless driving case. I did everything she recommended. Judge was unreasonably strict on me compared to e...veryone else he saw that morning but I still only managed a very low fine even though I was charged. She offered to give me a really good price to appeal so I decided to have her appeal it for me. I ended up getting it dropped to speeding over 20 and only paid 150$ more in fine than what I originally would have. Overall the experience was very nice. She is respectful and knowledgeable.
