Just a job

I’m not one to usually write reviews, but under these circumstances it seems appropriate. I hired ms Shannon to represent my sister on a motion to reconsider and at the beginning she seemed very sincere in her desire to help. Something had changed once she got paid and it seemed like i was working fo...r her instead of her working for me. After all it must be a very strenuous process to write a letter under these current times we live in. My sister by no means is a bad person she suffers from addiction and nothing more then a possession charge. My father has been in and out of the hospital for the past 4 months and will soon pass without seeing his daughter again. I have lived in another state for years and get back to visit pretty regularly. However i cannot stay full time to help out. It took her three weeks to get the motion ready after i had given her information about the second part of my sister sentence which is a useless subcontracted state run reintroduction program. After waiting the 3 weeks and finally seeing the motion she wrote it wasn’t even close to the information i had given her. The state i was living in was wrong, my fathers ailments and the severity of them was incorrect. I had given up at that point and decided to accept things as they are. I am aware that most individuals usually have things going on in their lives which prevent them from being present, however i would not recommend her under any circumstances . She appears to Andy be in it for a buck and she is really not that good at it. Her assistant was very pretentious and you would think she is the one with the law degree.

Nathan, I empathize with the stress and frustration that you are experiencing over your father’s declining health and your sister’s incarceration. However, I think your comments in your review are misplaced. As you remember, I was retained to draft a Motion to Reconsider your sister’s sentence. I was not the attorney who handled your sister’s underlying case or sentencing. During our consultation, I warned you that post-conviction motions were not frequently granted, and you stated that you understood that. Three weeks to prepare and draft a motion of this nature is not excessive by industry standards. As I was not the attorney that handled the underlying charges/sentencing, I needed to review the court file, speak with the original attorney, contact the Department of Corrections and clarify information with you. My office communicated with you numerous times during my representation and tried to manage your expectations. I was surprised to see this review, as you did not express any dissatisfaction to me when we discussed the court’s denial of the motion. Your frustration was directed at the court’s ruling, not at the way I handled your sister’s matter. I’m not sure what changed between then and now, but I am certainly willing to discuss any issues that have arisen with you. Please contact my office and I will be glad to schedule a time to speak with you.

Reckless Driving Charge

I am an extremely satisfied Commercial Driver of 20 years!!! Attorney Shannon's knowledge of the charge I was ticketed with and the assurance that this would not follow me into my future, put my mind at ease. Every question concerning my case was answered before my court date. She and her staff were... personable and very professional. I live in the Richmond area of Virginia, and had to call at least 7 attorneys in the Va Beach Area and Attorney Shannon was the best choice !!! I recommend her highly to professional drivers and other drivers as well !!!

Amazing, professional, organized, and thorough, and WE WON!

Mrs. Shannon is an incredible attorney. She is so thorough and picked up on many things that I would not have even imagined to matter in our family case. I have been traumatized by previous court experiences and unjust rulings with my X-husband so when I found out that he was going to try and get pri...mary custody of our son, all of those anxieties came back. Mrs. Shannon, being a family person herself, listened carefully to all of my concerns and actually made the court experience incredibly peaceful (I never thought that was possible). The judge even said that it was the most "memorable" court experiences because of how wonderful everything was. She also did an excellent job keeping us up to date and informing us of what was going on in a way that we could understand (legal terminology is another language for me). She took in each of my anxieties and fears with an open ear and even prayed with us when asked to do so. I love her heart! If we have any future legal matters (especially in the family area) we would be sure to ask her to represent us again, and so should you!!! You will not go wrong with such an amazing attorney!!! Her attention to details is what helped in winning our case. I am happy to say that my son will be staying at home with me!

DON'T LET THE QUIET DEMEANOR FOOL YOU!!

During the intial visit and each time I met with Ms Shannon, she appeared to be somewhat timid> At one point I remembered thinking that I needed an attorney with a little more "umph". Ahh...hhh was I surprised! This is a smart attorney. She is thorough and tough when she needs to be. Not only diid ...I see a great deal of "umph" but when my case was done, I'm also sure the opposing attorney was thinking, "umph..umph...ummm" because she surprised him too!!! Attorney Shannon will work hard for you. But...what impressed me the most was her response to my telephone calls and many questions. Her receptionist (Anne) was on point as well. Although, I hated the fact that I needed an attorney, she make the process a little more bearable.
