I have used Mr. Short for all my legal needs and advice for over 8 years now and he and his staff are always very personable and professional. I have always received sound solid advice from Mr. Short. I recommend Mr. Short to all my family and friends for any legal advise and/or representation. Mr.... Short and his staff are awesome!!! I initially contacted James for my daughter to see if he could challenge some of the sections in her separation agreement, which was filed in Virginia. She'd moved back to Texas and needed an attorney in Virginia. The first thing that impressed me was that James returned my call on a Saturday after ...I'd called his assistant Friday afternoon. My daughter emailed her papers and set an appointment for a few days later. James said there were some possibilities for argument, but the cost would likely outweigh the return. He was careful to explain everything in layman's language instead of legalese, was patient and took as much time as necessary to ensure that both of us understood everything about the process. I appreciated there was never an indication that he could get more than the agreement stipulated or recommend we should take it into a courtroom, although I believe he could have done that and enriched himself at our expense. James was completely above board and I felt good that he'd given my daughter the sound advice. I'm very impressed with his attitude, and I wouldn't hesitate to call him again if I need legal services. I only wish he practiced in my city.

Mr. Short was wonderful in dealing with my domestic assault case. After concluding my consultation I decided immediately to hire Mr. Short to represent me. With the help of his assistant, purely for quick response for any questions I had during my case, Mr. Short never failed to keep me up to date wi...th any and all information I needed and requested. Mr. Short displayed wonderful knowledge of my case and never let up on the judge while consitantly reitterating the importance of not selecting a deferred block so that I may one day complete an expungement. Today, 4 Jan 2017, was the last day in court for my expungement hearing. All went great and my expungement is in the works just waiting on paperwork to process through the system. Mr. Short was able to get finish my case with a "no conviction" and also was able to get me "first time offender status with a not deferred outcome" allowing for my expungement. I only had to complete an angeanagement class. All in all Mr. Short would definitely be my first choice for representation in the future.
