Jacob James Balderson

Jacob J. “Jake” Balderson is an attorney with Davis Law Group, P.C. and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in October 2014. Jake has lived in Chesapeake for twenty-two years. Jake has always enjoyed working with people and has served in various positions involving customer service, most notably as a summer camp counselor for the Greenbrier Family YMCA for five consecutive summers. Jake’s passion for people and his desire to help individuals and families achieve peace of mind are his primary reasons for choosing to practice law. Jake has a passion for estate planning and desires to help families properly plan for difficult situations by providing them with a firm plan for transferring assets to their families according to their own wishes.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jake attended high school at Oaktree Academy in Virginia Beach and then attended Oral Roberts University (“ORU”) in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he received his bachelor’s degree in Finance. In 2011, Jake returned to Virginia to receive his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach. While in law school, Jake took courses focusing on estate planning, federal income taxation, federal gift and estate taxation, corporate taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions. Jake received several awards for outstanding academic achievement in courses such as Secured Transactions and Corporate Taxation.
