William Brent Kilduff

William B. Kilduff, Esq. Mr. Kilduff graduated from Randolph-Macon College in 1974 with a B.A. in History. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a Juris Doctor degree in 1977. Following completion of his law degree, Mr. Kilduff went to work for the law firm of Sanders & Austin in Princeton, West Virginia, where he practiced for two-and-one-half years in a general practice. Following this practice, he joined the law firm of Walter H. Emroch & Associates in Richmond, Virginia in 1979. Mr. Kilduff became a partner with that firm in 1989, and the name of the firm was changed to Emroch & Kilduff, LLP in 1998. The firm practices solely in the area of personal injury litigation. Mr. Kilduff practices primarily in the areas of products liability, medical malpractice and automobile accident cases. He has tried or settled multiple medical malpractice and personal injury cases resulting in verdicts or settlements in excess of a million dollars.

Mr. Kilduff has been admitted to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court and the West Virginia Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the Southern District of West Virginia, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Kilduff is currently a member of the Virginia State Bar, the American Association for Justice, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Bar Association of the City of Richmond. As a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, he has served in various leadership roles.

In 2004, Mr. Kilduff was elected a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization for trial lawyers with extensive experience in the area of trial practice, and one which seeks to uphold the civil jury trial. Mr. Kilduff holds the rank of an Advocate in that organization.

Mr. Kilduff has been selected as a Super Lawyer in the area of personal injury law for the last ten years. He was one of the top ten vote getters in the state in 2011 and 2012. In September 2009, Mr. Kilduff was first selected by his peers for inclusion in the book The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Personal Injury Litigation and has been selected each year since.
