PRO
also known as Craig B. Davis
To put it simply, Craig doesn’t do anything halfway. He pours all of himself into everything he does, whether with work, his family, or his hobbies. His passion has parlayed into a career as an accomplished trial attorney. He concentrates his practice on workers’ compensation and personal injury cases in Virginia.
Aside from being a dad, Craig finds no greater source of satisfaction than representing injury victims and helping them and their families obtain justice. Craig recognizes that the work he does has the ability to change lives. His goal for over 30 years has been to help clients obtain the largest possible financial recovery in their cases.Craig obtained his undergraduate degree cum laude from Washington and Lee University. He then graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, moving on to achieve multiple seven-figure verdicts and settlements. According to Virginia Lawyer’s Weekly, he obtained the largest workers’ compensation settlement ever reported in Virginia. Craig still enjoys hearing from that client’s parents with updates on their son’s progress. He has consistently been recognized by his peers for his legal acumen. He was named a member of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business Magazine. He makes the annual list for Best Lawyers in America and Virginia Super Lawyers, topping the Top 100 and even Top 50 list for his body of work within personal injury and workers’ compensation. In 2018, Craig was inducted as a Fellow into the College of Workers’ Compensation Attorneys. That same year he was honored as a “Leader in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
Craig also believes in serving organizations within the legal community. He is the only attorney whose practice includes workers’ compensation to become president of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA). He has served VTLA in various capacities for over 25 years. He also served two terms as an elected representative to the Bar Council for the Virginia State Bar. He was invited to be a member of the State Bar’s Judicial Candidate Evaluation Committee, where he has interviewed and evaluated candidates for the federal bench, Supreme Court of Virginia, and the Court of Appeals of Virginia. Craig served nine years as a board member of Commonwealth Community Trust, a non-profit organization that administers financial trusts for individuals with disabilities. These are but a few of many organizations he is passionate about. Craig’s experience in workers’ compensation and personal injury has given him a unique perspective on the legal overlap between these two areas. He frequently lectures at seminars on successfully resolving combined worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.
In his spare time, Craig enjoys coaching his sons in little league and travel baseball. He has also coached flag football, soccer, and basketball. He still can’t figure out lacrosse, however. He is involved with several charities, including Connor’s Heroes, and organizes annual benefit concerts to support those causes. He and his wife, Lucy, and his sons Jackson and Wiley, can often be found together hiking, playing sports, or listening to live music. Craig and his family also have three large dogs, including two Great Pyrenees they rescued during the pandemic. So please be kind if you notice that his suit is covered in dog hair.
