Shane Lee Jimison

Shane is everything a lawyer should not be. No paralegal or support staff make getting return calls nearly impossible. He doesn't check his mail very often, which is a problem when the courts communicate almost exclusively through mail. He misses court dates, ignores voice mails, and worst of all, he... doesn't have the ability to say, "This is over my head, we need to get you in touch with a specialist in this area". instead he continued to take my money and my time while doing no research or due diligence. Opposing counsel preyed on his inexperience and lack of attention to detail. This lawyer has cost me, literally THOUSANDS of dollars in legal fees and left such a mess that it has caused me to hire an expert to try to untangle a mess. In the meantime, I am still tied to my ex-wife financially and lucky to not be bankrupt. Worst of all, Shane just doesn't care if this is your life. He's too busy taking every Friday off (he doesn't tell you that, by the way) and taking vacations and just being unavailable. The problems he caused are serious enough to warrant a malpractice suit, which I am pursuing. You may think you're getting a deal, but he cost me three times what it would have cost to hire a decent and experienced attorney like the one I have now. Do yourself a favor and don't waste time. If a lawyer doesn't have someone to even answer the phone, let alone return a call or file a piece of paper for you, he's not going to be able to practice law while running his office at the same time. And let me tell you, practicing law was pretty far down on his list of important things to do. RUN. DO NOT WALK. Shane may be great in traffic court, but anything that involves complexity or legal nuance should not be handled by him.

I contacted Shane about a month ago because I found out the man I had married 9 months earlier had felony convictions that he withheld from me before we got married. I asked Shane if it was possible for me to get an annulment considering my situation. I had been to see another lawyer before coming to Shane and that lawyer told me that I had to pay $1000 dollars up front before I could even receive services from him, so it was refreshing to come across Shane's website offering an annulment at a cheaper price. Also, Shane worked with me on my financial situation and allowed me to make small payments instead of paying the whole amount upfront. My annulment was processed and finalized within a month of hiring Shane. I was told that was a very good turn around time when working with a lawyer. Shane was very busy so sometimes I had to make sure to get in contact with him to find out what was going on with my case. However, when I contacted him I always got a speedy response back. If you need a quick annulment/uncontested divorce for a reasonable price Shane is your guy! I highly recommend him.

I hired Shane Jimison to handle to my uncontested divorce. His website claimed that this would be a relatively quick and easy process, as my husband and I have been seperated for three years. We do not have children or any property together. There is nothing to dispute. The website indicated this... would be completed in approximately 3 to 4 weeks and that Shane provides individualized attention to each case. However, my experience has been the opposite. It is now going on 4 months and my divorce is still not final. He has offered no explanation and has stopped responding to my email inquiries. This has been an extremely frustrating situation that has dragged on for far too long. Although the fee seems reasonable, the stress and aggravation is just not worth it.
