Admonition issued in DC, 2001
updated on 07/24/2018
An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Jonathan's comment: “16 years ago my office made an administrative mistake in not paying a single medical bill of approximately $5,000 where the provider had a lien. We accepted full responsibility for the mistake and paid the provider. The facts are available online. The client suffered no harm, and in fact had the benefit of my law firm's payment of his bill from our fees.”
