Integrity, Dedication, Knows the Law, Thorough,, and Doesn't use Paralegals are just a few of the other qualities I can think of for Steven Benjamin. How I wish we had used him for the trial instead of the super lawyer who doesn't even come close to this man's knowledge. I have never written a review before for a lawyer, but I feel everyone should know, He and Betty Layne Desportes are the Best in Richmond! We are grateful that Benjamin and Desportes were recommended to us. Just Sorry we didn't have them sooner. If you are like we were and never had to find a good lawyer before, Then this is YOUR TEAM! I highly recommend them. I truly believe had we known of them before, we would not be in the position of using the appeals process now.
Adam Stone, Criminal defense Attorney
I had the opportunity to hear Attorney Benjamin speak on the topic of advocating for indigent defense experts at a conference in Cleveland, Ohio in 2012. At the time, he was the president of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. It was readily apparent in the course of his presentation that Attorney Benjamin is a proud, intelligent, aggressive, caring, and well-spoken advocate for his clients - rich and poor. He was inspiring, and at the same time practical. And, in the course of his time as NACDL president, his column in the organization's publication "The Champion" was a constant challenge to the practitioner to be better at what he or she did to better fight for and preserve his or her client's rights, liberties and freedom. I endorse Attorney Benjamin as a strong, experienced, and effective advocate for his clients.
