Biography
Corey Martin was born in Richmond, Virginia. After college, he worked for ten years at Capital One Financial where he managed a division of several hundred employees in Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Tampa, FL. He earned a Masters of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He then earned his J.D. at Liberty University School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude.
After law school, he worked as a civil litigator in the nursing home industry where he represented the elderly in wrongful death and injury cases. He also handled personal injury cases involving major bodily injury and the death of automobile drivers. He participated in negotiating six figure settlements in these cases. His experience includes traffic cases, criminal defense, civil litigation, personal injury, wills and estates, landlord/tenant issues, Medicare disputes, family law, and adoption law. Mr. Martin is married with five children.
Mr. Martin also taught college classes for years in such areas of study as trial and appellate advocacy, criminal law and procedure, constitutional law, and legal writing. He also taught law school classes as an adjunct law professor teaching law students the skill of legal advocacy through proper legal research and writing.
