Highly unprofessional, not what they used to be

I was invited by the firm to write a review and I have decided to take them up on the offer. However, I believe it is important to ensure that the public receive a fair and honest assessment, so here are some pros and cons of Keithley Law… Pros: - Although expensive, they did good work a few y...ears ago. - They are generally competent attorneys. - They are generally responsive. Cons: - Returning was a mistake. - Very unprofessional. - They fashion themselves as experts in handling high conflict personalities, but they themselves are extraordinarily high conflict… with their own clients. - They unapologetically run up bills often double billing for routine tasks, they charge multiple high billing rate people on minor matters without authorization or informing the client, they bill for social calls, and also bill for their mistakes (both in making the error and then to fix it). To rub salt in the wound, they will add another unjustifiable 7% “administrative fee” to further compound ethically strained billing practices. - To mask their iniquitous billing, once called out they will create entries just to “write them off.” - If you ever question them on a legal strategy or billing matter, they will attack you (yes, they will attack their own clients) and then they will cut you off acting like a two year old throwing a tantrum. - Often they are more interested in fawning over and catering to opposing counsel, than representing the interests of their clients. - Would rather fight with you about what you want from the case than advocating for you, which of course wraps back in to the billing escalation. In summary, they are not nearly what they were a few years ago. As such, the quality of legal advice does not warrant the pain of working with them, enduring the lack of professionalism, or the excessive billing. As prior reviews on Google show that Keithley Law has no compunction with attacking or threatening legal action against reviewers, I am happy to share support for my review.

Fabulous, skilled and compassionate family lawyer

I hired Keithley Law, PLLC to represent me for an extremely high-conflict family law dispute for custody, visitation and equitable distribution. I hired Soo after interviewing several attorneys and reading some of her blog articles. Soo was wonderful and completely understood the complexities involve...d in these types of disputes. She understood and accurately predicted the litigation threats and drama that would occur in my case. Using her background and experience dealing with high-conflict people, she was aggressive when necessary and conciliatory when necessary. I never thought we would resolve our case, but we did, and she obtained a very favorable outcome for my children and me. I hope I never have to hire her again, but if I ever needed her help, I would absolutely do so and have recommended her to many colleagues.

Hired for Protection Against Requested Modification/ Flip of Custody

As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than my two young children. At an initial custody trial, I was awarded primary custody. When my ex husband filed a motion to modify custody (attempting to FLIP custody and seeking final decision making a year and a half later) I knew I needed a new a...ttorney and a zealous advocate on my behalf to protect my children and I. I could not have asked for a better outcome! I consulted with and hired Henry Thompson, who worked closely with Soo and other members of the team on my case. Soo and Henry both guided me with recommendations surrounding communication with a high conflict personality and Soo determined when we needed to take a more aggressive route. Throughout this litigation, Henry was always available to answer my (many) questions, shared his thoughts on various issues, and even encouraged me to think about the big picture when I needed it. At trial, Henry had thoroughly reviewed my documents, prepared me, and was excellent with his knowledge of the details surrounding my case/significant events. He was quick to think on the spot and brought up important points I had not even thought of. The motion to modify was unsuccessful, and needless to say, my experience with Keithley Law has been life changing. The office is professional, informative, knowledgable, friendly, and organized. I highly recommend this firm if you are in need of a savvy advocate on your behalf.

Highly Recommend

I was looking for a divorce lawyer who specializes in narcissistic personality disorder.... Dawn-Titus-Rogan kept me up to date and communicated with me in a timely manner... Kiran Hussain Faiz the legal assistant helped implement the crucial information I needed.... I was kept informed of all commun...ication and that was comforting.... because I was divorcing a “npd” there is a history of extreme noncompliance.... I expressed my concerns to dawn and she reassured me quite a few times that the divorce would go smoother than I expected.... her reassurance throughout the process was what I needed to maintain a level of calmness.... I am most grateful for her competency.... I would highly recommend this firm Keithley Law .... thank you for your kindness and expertise
