I am a former prosecutor that worked in the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's Office from 2002 through 2005 handling criminal matters including felony burglaries, assaults, domestic violence, drunk driving, and drug possession cases.
Since 2006, since entering private practice, I have been advocating for my clients mainly in the area of family law, to include divorce, custody, child support, and protective orders and peace orders. I have also maintained a criminal defense practice whch includes juvenile cases and administrative hearings (MVA hearings).
My main practice area and true passion is family law. I understand and appreciate the emotional and economical toll divorce takes on my clients. I zealously represent my clients inside and outside of the courtroom, while focusing on resolving the case in my client's best interests. More importantly, I see the impact divorce has on my client's children. Children of divorce are the most important factor in any divorce case.
For that reason, I am proud to be appointed in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court as a best interest attorney/advocate attorney for children whose parents are involved in an active custody case. While I cannot represent my clients' children during their divorce, I have the opportunity to advocate for the best interest of children in other cases, which has hightened my awareness for the impact divorce has on children. As a result, I am better able to advise my clients on custody issues.
I understand that going through divorce or custody litigation can be one of the most stressful and emotional experiences in a person's life. I guide my cilents through the process by giving them sound advice while being sensative and compassionate.
I have over a decade of trial experience. I use my experience from inside the courtroom to first attempt to settle the case outside the courtroom. If, however, the case has to be tried, I am prepared and present a solid case for the Court.
