Gill Cochran

Attorney Gill is simply amazing. Very transparent in his thoughts about your case, his goal, best and worse possible outcome. He literally made it go away and all I did was sit and watch it disappear. I am so happy! Gill was a calming presence before and during court. He was very up-front and professional, and also I thought his fee was quite reasonable. I had two traffic citations (with potentially hefty points) given to me after a rear-end collision, and I was very nervous about potential outcomes. Fortunately... the police officer declined to testify, so I was found not guilty without Gill needing to try my case. But I would hire him again.

My initial consultation with Gill was extremely thorough and he explained worst and best case scenarios for my upcoming trial date. I was pleasantly surprised at his cost and hired him immediately. He truly cares for his clients wellbeing. He made me feel at ease- not like a criminal, but a human bei...ng. I was being charged with upwards of 8 charges, hundreds in fines, and possible jail time. I took every instruction from Gill on what to do on my end, and he promised to take care of me. On the day of my trial, he truly followed through. He was able to minimize my fines and get me a Probation Before Judgement, so I would acquire no points on my license or any criminal offenses on my record. The trial was extremely speedy and thorough, and he explained everything to me every step of the way. The entire time we were waiting in the court room, he did everything he could to make me feel relaxed and at ease. He’s been doing this for 40+ years, so he’s dealt with just about every judge in the Chesapeake Bay Area. He also helped my father, who is struggling with alcoholism, take the first steps to recovery by offering him literature and the necessary resources. He was not paid to do this, nor has my father been in any sort of legal trouble because of his addiction. Gill did this solely out of the kindness of his heart. If I were to ever get in any sort of trouble, he would be the first person I would call.

Gill represented me in two cases I had going on at the same time. The first case he was able to get a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute and possession over 10 grams put on a stet docket. The second case, which was heard the very next day, he was able to get a Felony charge of poss...ession w/intent to distribute and a possession of Marijuana over 10 grams, and a paraphenelia charge knocked down to a plea of guilty for misdemeanor, simple possession of Marijuana. I was facing possibly 5 years of prison and I was sentenced to just 6 months of unsupervised probation. Gill is very connected within the community. He is respected by many and it is obvious when you are in court with him. He did amazing and help me settle all of this without having to go to trial.. I definitely would recommend him, and I will have him on stand by if ever needed again. He said he would take care of me and he did..

After consulting with several attorneys, we ended up meeting with Gill early on a Saturday morning after short notice. Gill was professional and set us at ease. His price was beyond fair, and his representation of himself, while unconventional, immediately satisfied us with his competence and we hi...red him on the spot. When court came, his approach obtained an acquittal for all charges and I don't think we spent more than 5 minutes in the courtroom. We walked from the courtroom to the clerk and immediately applied to have the record expunged. I couldn't have asked for more. Gill knows his sh*t.
