I now live in FL and had a home in MD that was upside down for years. I rented the home hoping at some point I would be able to sell it with little to know loss. When my renter moved out and I found out how far upside down I was I looked into a short sale. I first went though the real estate company ...for help on completing the short sale. Days before the closing was to go through the sale was denied. Not wanting to have to foreclose on property I looked around for a law firm to review my case and see if I could do a short sale. Meeting Mr. Sulin was the best thing that could ever have happened for my family in keeping our home. I was scared to death that our home was going to go up for Foreclosure. We received a knock at our door one night at 10 pm. with a man holding foreclosure paper, my nightmare finally happened. Ame...rican Servicing Company was our mortgagor. This company could care less about our hardship problems, it was either short sale, or foreclosure, they would not work with us what so ever. When you have no money and you're about to lose your home because you can't pay the mortgage and you try and try again to qualify for HAMP, but nothing works, you get a lawyer. Tom Sulin was that lawyer. He came recommended by another lawyer who was recommended by our original realtor. We are so than...kful to them that we hired Tom. There's a lot of legal stuff that goes on between lawyers that I have no idea about. But what sets Tom apart from any other lawyer I've worked with is his empathy. He understood our fears and he helped us manage them. As each step occurred, he would let us know what's happening and why it needed to happen. THAT is what is important! Being a human, seeing your clients as human. Tom did that for us. He helped us by giving us hope that under our circumstances we had a good chance of not losing our home. A home isn't everything. But knowing what's going to happen and understanding where you are is everything. With Tom's help, we qualified for HAMP. Our mortgage was extended and redone and there was no way we could have done it without Tom's help. He's a good man with a good heart!!

My initial contact with Mr. Sulin was pleasant. We spoke over the phone and scheduled a consultation. The day before our scheduled meeting he contacted me to cancel because he was ill. We agreed to reschedule to the day before Thanksgiving per his suggestion. I arrived at his office at the agreed... upon time and date and he never showed. In addition he never called or emailed to apologize. It has been 2 months and he has yet to respond to my message. I would caution anyone considering him for legal services as my experience showed a significant lack professionalism on his part.
